Gorgeous grand river-side house with spacious rooms and lawns running down to the river. It's rather quirky - neither a hotel nor a home-stay, but elements of both. Overall it's charming, surrounded by trees with lovely view across the river to the rowing club. Several very good restaurants within walking distance.
Ours was a last-minute booking due to a flight cancellation and as there's no conventional reception desk, it was rather confusing for us, and the recently joined staff member, quite how to check-in. Nevertheless, very welcoming and the room was gorgeous.,

Lovely properly great decor and awesome concept. Liked the honesty bar.
The staff were lovely but clueless and didn’t know what they were doing. They didn’t have milk in for breakfast and it was really unclear how to utilise the hotel in the way they wanted you to. I discovered myself that there was a sauna, access to the river which would have been nice to learn about upon check in. It’s a shame as there’s a lot on offer but I felt a bit lost.
