I was surprised at the size for the price. Comfortable bed. Excellent location close to everything you could need. Pharmacy, groceries, 24hr convenience, food and drink. All in a quiet old neighbourhood. Had an extremely pleasant time preparing for my next days in the heart of Tokyo. Fully equipped minus cooking area. Everything I needed! 30 minutes to Shinjuku station.

The last 2 upstairs neighbors did not respect the 10pm-9am noise policy. Shower drain stinky but my nose is hypersensitive.

I got a whole apartment for myself. Check in/out feels very private: I didn't see anyone during the entire stay.

It's right next to train tracks. And these tracks are busy: there is literally another train before you finish thinking about how annoying the last train was. It's not just the sound either, it's the shaking. It's like a minor earthquake simulator and it's always on except from like midnight to 5am or so. There were a total of three beds, all of which were louder than even the trains. I didn't know beds could squeak so loud and for so little movement. I ended up solving the issue by taking the mattress off the bed and putting it on the floor. Wouldn't have been able to sleep without doing that (and neither could've the people in the apartments around me). Walls are so thin it sounds like there is someone in the apartment with you when they try to figure out their squesky bed. It's an old house. If you go during the winter, prepare for the authentic Japanese experience where inside feels like outside. Most likely you will have one warm room and the others will be cold (unless you're feeling like testing the AC's limits).
