About this house rental

A Modern Cottage with double height glazed gable end giving stunning views of the countryside. Set on a croft of 50 acres this is a quiet and relaxing rural location. Keith, with good local butchers, bakers and supermarket is only 4 miles with a village shop in Newmill for milk and a paper only 1 mile. A good location for exploring the castles and distilleries of the north east and easy driving distance to the coast for the beautiful beaches and dolphin watching.

Very well placed panoramic cottage for exploring Cairngorms and coast, far away from busy world. We did enjoy very much our 'home' for week - 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen and spacious living area. Hosts kindly provided clear and helpful instructions.

This is a fantastic property. Bright and cheery with wonderful views. We stayed a week and used it as a base for a golf vacation. Too many courses within a 30 minute drive to list. Played 4 courses, rented ebikes and rode the Speyside Way in Aberlour. We would defiantly recommend.

The wonderful view allowed us to immerse ourselves in the unique landscape from the very first coffee. The kitchen was well equipped. The owners were very nice and helpful. The house is highly recommended. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house in the Highlands. The children really enjoyed their stay and there were lots of places to visit in the surrounding area. We had a perfect time at the house. The views are so beautiful. We had NO problems at all! You need a car to get to the house, that is important to know. It was quiet, I loved the sheep grazing around the house. There is a lot to do and see in the neighberhood. If I was going to this part of the country, I would defenitively choose this house again! The only thing that was confusing for us, It said there were NO towels, so we had to bring them and that filled a lot of our suitcase space. When we came at the hougse there were towels available. That is something I would wanted to know in advance. There is NO WIFI. You can use your 4G. We didn't miss it....there were enough DVD's. We had the best time!!

A wonderful gem of a property set in the most picturesque countryside among rolling green hills with happy flocks of sheep just outside your window. The holiday home was very well equipped with everything you could need, including comfy beds and furniture and a cozy fireplace. We were able to cook and do some laundry, which came in handy. The owners keep the place spotless and they were very easy to contact when needed. We appreciated the little extras like very clear instructions for all the appliances and equipment, detergent, cleaning supplies, batteries and even bandages. There is no wifi but there is signal for data and there are plenty of tv channels and games in the house. Would highly recommend for couples or families who are looking for a relaxing Scottish experience.

Beautiful home away from home in the country. Gorgeous Scottish scenery out every window. A great private location with a fully stocked kitchen etc. If you are coming from abroad be prepared for a short narrow drive from the nearest town but we'll worth it. We were sad to leave..

The upper sitting room suited the teenagers well. There were a few dead flies but otherwise clean. The owners responded quite quickly regarding the few problems that arose. The wood burning stove heated the sitting area very well. The views through the triple glazed gable end were stunning.

Absolutely wonderful stay. The house was as described, perched on a hill, with a wonderful view of the surrounding fields. We enjoyed coming back after a long days of sightseeing, lighting the fire and just relaxing. The house had everything we could need except a hairdryer (three women with no hair dryer was entertaining but we managed). Communication with the owner was perfect and the instructions for the house and directions to find it were great. We really completely enjoyed our stay and it was a highlight of our visit to Scotland. Would stay again in a heartbeat if we should visit the area again.

Great surroundings and everything you could wish for is at the house (except maybe WiFi…) Comfortable for families with children. Splendid views from the living room. I don’t know where to start with this property. From start to finish it was an absolute dream. The location is idyllic. Yes it’s off the main road a bit but easily accessible by taxis and the like. We had a hire car so no issues there. The views are breathtaking and the house has everything you’ll need. The best thing was that we felt totally at ease with our two year old running around outside in the fully fenced yard - even inside the house, it was child friendly without any sacrifices made to the classy look of the house. My granny (from the local town in Keith) absolutely loved visiting and sitting looking out to the Knock where she was born. We will forever remember the chats around the fireplace. And to top it off the house was well priced and the owners were so fantastic to communicate with. We ended up extending our stay! Thanks so much for sharing this lovely home we will definitely be back!

This is a really lovely property - loved the open plan living room and the floor to ceiling windows. We enjoyed the garden birds - skylarks, meadow pipits, pied wagtails and swallows! The house is very well equipped, bed was very comfortable. Very relaxing getaway!

We loved the house the first moment we got there. It is very comfortable and the view through the huge window front is just amazing! It was really nice to have the fire and sit in front in the evening. The house is very well equiped. The only downside were the beds in the downstairs bedrooms. But otherwise we were really really happy with the house and would book again!

Wow, what a wonderful holiday. We just spent 10 days at the barn and it was amazing!!! Such a beautiful, comfy home with everything you can think of inside, the owners have gone the extra mile. We fell in love with it the moment we stepped inside and the views and location were so fabulous that we didn’t want to leave. We visited the local coastal town of Cullen quite often for some beautiful coastal walks and we ate in a lovely restaurant there called the Seafield arms, it was so good that we booked it 4 times!!!! We would highly recommend this gorgeous barn to everyone and we will definitely be returning. We loved every minute of our stay.

Unfortunately, after a very long journey a lack of communication with the property manager to ascertain entry details, ( they had not been uploaded onto the website by the time of arrival and numerous phone calls not responded to,), resulted in a long delay in being able to gain access. Enquiring at several neighbouring properties, we were eventually able to acquire alternative contact details for the owner. However, once access was gained, the property was excellent, light and spacious, with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside and very well equipped. A slight downside was raer feeble showers but otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The house has everything you need and is very comfortable. The area is absolutely lovely. We most enjoyed the coastal walks where we were privileged to watch dolphins on a few occasions, including the day they were showing off to some paddle boarders. Some lovely food in the small fishing villages. Oh, my hubby sat on evening at the house and watched two badgers in the garden, something we don’t see at home.

Really lovely and well appointed house in a v.quiet place but well located for getting to everything. Fantastic views at night down the valley from outside and inside the house. Only minus thing is a lack of WiFi with a patchy 4g - but that's no major thing if you're trying to switch off.
