Great location in a traditional home

Stayed during a heatwave and it was quite stuffy

- great, friendly and helpful owner - very convenient location, quiet, but close to all attractions - very wide selection of food and drink available 24 hours, well over 2-star hotel standard

So the downstairs reception is a little dated and no doubt there are better hotels in the area, but not for the money. As a couple we avoid Holiday Inn or cooperate type hotels so here worked well for our 3 night stay. If you want simple comfort and location matters then book the Adolesce, if you are looking for a slick, stylish and modern then pay the premium and stay elsewhere. My only gripe was that the bed cover pattern was like the American confed flags and there was no espresso machine, that said the bedroom/bathroom were expertly clean with interesting decour. Unusually for me, I slept like a dog, so that’s a definite win. My wife, who is no coward when it comes to judging my decisions had not much to say, so I clearly got something right when I booked here.

Espresso machine - but there a loads of coffee shops locally

Very clean, comfortable, quiet, traditional Dutch building. Had everything we needed. Sliced salami, cheeses, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, milk, coffee, crackers, bread available at all times. Close to underground station.

Not an issue for us since we were prepared and it adds to the dutch experience but noting for others that stairs are very steep. Would be hard to do if have large suitcase or mobility issues.
