Sebastiano’s place is modern, spacious and very comfortable, fitted with any appliances you might need. We could not imagine a better location in Manarola-SO close to the train station, nearby the water and at the center of all the restaurants, with a well equipped minimart and ATM across the street.
Upon our arrival, we were welcomed to the apartment by Tatiana, who quickly helped us understand the basic helpful information about Manarola and recommended us local restaurant with live music that night. Sebastiano himself was very kind and is a host truly dedicated to creating a great experience for the guests. We would DEFINITELY come back if we ever get a chance.
Thank you Sebastiano and Tatiana!
Tip: If you’re arriving by train, you’ll be delighted to find that the only stairs you need to conquer are the ones off the train station and one short flight of stairs up to the apartment. Unseen in Cinque Terre!

The property was very clean and in a quiet location and very well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The owner was very helpful and easy to deal with. Sebastian gave us lots of good ideas for things to do in the area and helped us book restaurants for dinner. The location in the square of Manarola was excellent for easy access around the town and train station
We liked everything.

The little apartment is very stylish, and it is beautifully decorated. Furthermore, it is in the centre of the village.
The bathroom is lovely, and the shower is terrific.
It's super convenient if you're catching the train, because it is right at the train station. Obviously, this means that you hear and feel the trains day and night. However, this didn't distress us.
This was SUCH a disappointment. We expected a one-bedroom holiday home, measuring 160 square metres, because this is what was stated in the listing. Instead, we got a tiny studio apartment. We guess that it is about 40 square metres.
It consists of an open-plan lounge/dining room, which has a double bed in it (there is a partition in front of the bed, but it is still very much in the lounge/living room).
There's a kitchen nook and a separate bathroom.
There's definitely no bedroom.
Furthermore, the listing fails to mention that parking is a complete disaster. The paid public parking is about 1km from the apartment. (Cars are not allowed into the village.) The distance is no problem. Alas, the hill on which the parking lot is located is extremely steep. Practically, this means that it's a really tough 20-minute walk to the car (it's obviously easier when going down).
We saw signs for a shuttle bus, but we never saw any buses.
In the interests of complete fairness and transparency, I need to mention that the owner kindly gave us a lift to the car after we arrived. (We could not carry all our stuff down the hill to the apartment.)
On departure, we walked back to our car with a chap, who was only carrying one small bag. Even he huffed and puffed his way to the top of the hill, stopping to catch his breath regularly.
We would never drive to the village and stay there again. We would only go there by train (and probably stay in La Spezia, where there is much more accommodation...and it is half the price).

Not only was the apartment so clean, convenient and comfortable with everything we needed but it was the kindness and personal care that the host showed that really made this our best stay. He helped us with our outrageously heavy suitcases and I left behind my passport when I left and he saw to it that I got it back safely at my next destination! He also recommended us so many great places to visit and things to do! This was our favourite place from our whole 6.5 week tour of Europe, hope to come back again!

As many reviews have said the location is excellent. It is at the end of the tunnel that connects train station to town. No need to drag bags up any hills - and there are plenty of slopes to contend with in cinque terre. I don’t think any other place in the other towns could rival this place for its location. There is a good cafe opposite the apartment.
The apartment is really well designed - modern with nice pieces of art. Good size apartment.
Equipped kitchen.
Cool looking bathroom - one of the nice touches is that there is a small make up organiser provided for you to use. Large shower with good pressure.
Sebastiano the host is really friendly and gave great recommendations.
We never had an issue with the noise but being so close to the train station means you’ll hear the trains. This did not bother us and we did not need to use any ear plugs - there are some provided for guests.
Nothing. Really enjoyed staying here.

couldn't have done any better in Manarola (or in any of the other Cinque Terre cities)
right near the train station, had the whole town in front of us
parking outside the city was a bear. should have parked outside of Cinque Terre, and taken the train.

I liked everything about this property. a little balcony overlooking a small square with a quiet nice restaurant there. literally steps outside the tunnel from the train station. located in the middle of the town and close to everything. and easy to access from a long hot day of travel. incredible AC! Modern and clean! high end finish. the bed was comfortable. the kitchenette was complete and modern. the bathroom was amazing. and best of all the host was wonderful! easy to check in, gave great recommendations for food and fun. and even stored our bags until we left town. couldn’t have been better. will definitely stay here again next time in the area.

I LOVED the location and Sebastiano was wonderful. It is literally minutes from getting off the train, after a long train ride this was a delight! The apartment was beautiful, very comfortable, has everything we needed. Comfortable bed and pillows. Located right off the main square, great people, watching from the balcony, and believe it or not, even though you’re so close to the trains, the noise level was very minimal. Manarola was our favorite, great swimming. It took just a few minutes to walk, swim, eat….
There was nothing I didn’t like.

location, location, location. The noise being near the train station was expected and was not a concern to us. there were a few interior steps to the unit which was no issue. our host Sebastiano, and his wife very gracious to us and gave us fantastic recommendations for must see places and local restaurants. Sebastiano was so kind to provide us a private transfer to Riomaggiore on our departure date. I would recommend his on site presence and apartment to anybody.

train noise but that is everywhere in this town

Francesca, Sebastiano’s wife, was very kind and helpful. Cinque Terre is a pretty hectic place if you arrive at rush hour, but the apartment, despite being on the main piazza is not too noisy. The little balcony is a nice place to sit and watch people. The shower is a good size and it is a nice bathroom.

Great location the best service and the most amazing host. The room was cold when we arrived the bed was extremely comfortable, you don’t have to walk far with your bags once you leave the train and he even got us a bottle of wine for our honeymoon!
Nothing at all

Correspondence prior to our trip was great. Greeting upon arrival at the host's art gallery to pick up the keys was easy and the host walked us to the apartment and showed us around, provided tips and maps of the area.
The property was great. The entrance at the end of the train tunnel seemed a bit daunting (steep stairs, but there are steep hills and stairs everywhere in Cinque Terre), but the stairway is well lit, easy access. This is a great location in the heart of Manarola.

location! right outside the train station so we didn’t have to drag our luggage up or down the hill that consists of the rest of town. the owner, Sebastiano, and his wife were easily accessible if we needed anything and suggested and helped us make reservations for dinner. amenities were great, the place was very clean, the patio is adorable and looks onto. the square from a quiet corner. we came for our honeymoon/ my birthday and they got us a bottle of wine as a present. the gallery they run is gorgeous and the art in it is lovely.
we left some items at the apartment after we checked out and contacted them again when we realized it. they were able to secure the forgotten belongings and were happy to stay open a little later to give them to us when we got back on the train to fetch them. very accommodating
nothing! it was all fabulous.

This apartment is very conveniently located next to the tunnel leading to the train station, and what is the "main square" of Manarola. The place is carefully appointed, mixing a minimalist design with contemporary paintings and adapting to the place. Bathroom is clean, the kitchen too. Comfy bed. Air conditioned works well. It has a balcony where you can seat and look into the small square in front of you. If you arrive by train, it is basically a flat walk to the entrance of the place -though the apartment is in the first floor. Host is friendly. Shops and restaurants nearby.
I didn't had any problems. The train passes right down the building, but it was not a problem for me.

the location was perfect, in the centre of one of the most beautiful places in Italy, Very nice ,clean appartment. Notice that the parking is NOT included in the price and it's a long steep walk back and forward with the luggage, espacially for older people or with bad knees/legs. Maybe it would be nice to tell the real distance to the parking on top of the hill.
We did not know how far the parking was . It took my mom 1,5 hour to get there.

Had a fantastic stay at La Casa del Gallerista. Our host Sebastiano looked after us. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Right at the end of the pedestrian tunnel to train station. Thanks Sebastiano for looking after Joanna and I.
