Great value for the Chiemsee Area and Convenient,

This was an exceptional hotel with a great location and view of Chiemsee. It was ideal for hikers and bikers who wanted to explore the foothills of the Alps and the lake below. The restaurant was open all day, which was very convenient for those who could not make it to the traditional cutoff time of two in the afternoon and then having to wait until five in the evening to eat a decent meal. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and convenient.

Beautifully located hotel, but rooms need improvements

Friendly staff, tasty and extensive breakfast, hotel is situated in a great spot with a beautiful view over the lake.

There were three things I was not satisfied with: the dated room, the very creaky floors/noisy rooms and the uncomfortable and saggy bed.

No late check-in info, no support—had to find another hotel last minute, then got billed anyway.

The reception looked orderly and clean

Lack of communication that the location does not allow late check in. Contact number left at reception does not speak English and just hung up, as I tried to use translator software and call back, that person stopped picking up altogether. Also, no locked box (key safe) or self-service available at all to check-in like the other hotels when the reception closed. After we had to scramble and look for another place to stay last minute, the place had the nerve to send me a bill complaining that we 'didn't arrive' and 'here's the cancellation invoice'.

Great hotel, great location above Chiemsee.

Met by a very nice lady on reception who provided all the information we needed, quickly. Our room was in the Seiseralm across the carpark from the Sieserhof, about 20 - 30m away. Very clean room, with a balcony and a nice view, pity it was raining..lol. The bed was extremely comfortable and the ensuite was clean and functional. Breakfast in the morning was typically continental but there was lots of choice and lots to eat.

No cons to the stay. Everything was really nice.

Good

Our room was in a separate building without the view to the lake, it made no difference due to mist totally blocking the desirable view. Instead we had a delightful view across some fields and a farm, we woke to the sound of cowbells a far better start to the day. The room was large modern and clean. Breakfast was okay but not great, not the largest selection but a lot was prepackaged. Nice hot sauna and a wonderful relaxation area on the hillside overlooking the lake.

The restaurant was not great, very slow service and and obvious that a lot of the choices were microwaved. My dessert had been so over microwaved that it was impossible to cut with a spoon. Normally I would accept it was an error but on the table next to us they had the same problem. Mine was exchanged for an ice cream but our adjoining table persevered. If the restaurant had been better I would have rated the stay as excellent.

Amazing place

It’s a lovely place with amazing view, surrounded by beautiful nature, cows, deers. We got a big room with balcony, it was very spacious and clean. In the evening we had dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, very tasty Bavarian food and nice playground for kids. Lots of guests had dogs and those felt very comfortable too. Love this place!

Beautiful Alm overlooking Chiemsee

The view, the rooms and the architecture of the hotel. We’ve been back a few times and always love this place! Great breakfast included.

A little expensive The customer service at the restaurant was atrocious. Being ignored for at least 30 min without menus or drinks. Average food and the waitress offered a Rumpsteak to us a vegan / vegetarian option and laughed out loud.

Schöner Ausgangpunkt für Wanderungen

Die Lage ist traumhaft. Frühstücktsraum bzw. Restaurant schön ausgebaut. Essen gut bürgerlich, preislich angemessen. Zimmer sauber und großzügig, Betten sehr gut.

Leider keine Sitzgelegenheit mehr im Aussenbereich im Oktober. Balkon Bestuhlung in die Jahre gekommen.

Excelentes vistas em um sítio encantador.

Foi uma estadia rápida de apenas uma noite porém muito agradável pelas belíssimas vistas que tínhamos das janelas do nosso quarto , o pequeno almoço era bom, o quarto tinha boas condições. O sítio onde está localizado o hotel é simplesmente maravilhoso .

Com relação qualidade e preço o hotel atendeu nossas expectativas, não temos nada do que reclamar
