Everything was beyond expectations

Our car was hit overnight in the hotel parking lot. The front desk clerk was not of much help. Would not even call the police for us. No cameras to monitor the front of the hotel

Ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt!

Natürlich das tolle Essen! Auch das Frühstück war toll!Und das edle Ambiente, eben wie eine Residenz. Wir hatten ein tolles Eckzimmer mit vielen großen Fenstern und aus jedem den Blick in die Berge. Und der Service ebenfalls Top. Sogar Alexander Winkler war immer für uns ansprechbar. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

A well located, traditional quality hotel with fine food but getting a little tired at the edges.

Location was very good. We ate in the brasserie on the evening and, despite losing Heinz Winckler himself, the food really was very good indeed. Waiting staff were efficient and polite. The breakfast was fine but not anything special which you might expect for a 5 star hotel with gourmet aspirations. Our bedroom was spacious and comfortable.

This is a 'smokers' hotel, the main lounge was reserved for smoking but the stale smell of smoke was not pleasant for non smokers and it extended up the stairs and landing. This a traditional quality hotel but is getting a little tired at the edges. The shower in our room was underpowered and fiddly to get at the right temperature. Wine overpriced. Bedroom beverages understocked.

Historische Residenz mit z.T. morbidem Charme

Das Restaurant war sehr gut, sowohl das Essen als auch die schöne Terrasse mit dem Blick auf die Kampenwand. Frühstück sehr variantenreich und schön präsentiert.

Die Zimmer sind in die Jahre gekommen und bräuchten eine Auffrischung, vor allem die Fenster und das Badezimmer.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel, ein Kleinod, in traumhafter Lage mit eigener Note. Wir bekamen von Frau Winkler als Überraschung ein Upgrade, worüber wir uns sehr gefreut haben und was uns den Aufenthalt mit drei Personen noch einmal komfortabler gemacht hat. Vielen herzlichen Dank dafür. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr gutes Frühstück, welches wir in einem gehobenen und sehr gepflegtem Ambiente zu uns nehmen konnten. Auch das Abendessen in der Brasserie Tafern können wir empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Impressive hotel, worth the expence.

A beautiful hotel, lavish decoration, large well appointed room, great views. Some lovely art to enjoy, I particually liked the animal sculptures made from cutlery. Very nice staff, friendly and helpful-the manager told me to put my bike in the staff garage for safety. Impressive resturant, limited menue. The spa is bigger than I expected-it includes a cold pool-great after a sauna. Parking is directly outside the hotel. Recommended.

It is an old building so no lift or aircon in some rooms. Not a big deal really.

A first-class hotel beautifully set in the mountains!

Boutique Hotel Heinz Winkler is fantastic! We had an amazing suite with stunning views of the mountains and the Hohenaschau Castle. The staff was extremely attentive, making sure our every need was met. We ate at the Bistro and it was fabulous. I can't say enough good things about our experience there! It was just wonderful - the best way to spend the last days of a long vacation. We look forward to returning - with family, next time!

Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und hatten ein wunderschönes Zimmer mit schöner Aussicht.. Für unsere Tochter wurde abends noch ein extra Bett hergerichtet. Das Hotel liegt zentral, aber trotzdem war es sehr ruhig.

Die Einrichtung ist etwas altmodisch und der Pool könnte etwas größer sein.

Ein liebevoll geführtes Familienhotel mit exzellentem Essen und außergewöhnlichem Service.

Der außergewöhnliche Service aller Mitarbeitenden. Bereits bei Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen und die Herzlichkeit hielt bis zur Abreise. Eine solche Gastlichkeit habe ich noch nie erlebt. Selbst für ein 5 Sterne Haus ist sie außergewöhnlich. Ich empfehle jedem, der Wert auf Ruhe, nettes Ambiente und hervorragendes Essen legt, hier einzuchecken. Wir hatten die Garten-Suite. Hier hatten wir einen Garten mit Springbrunnen, Liegen, Sonnenschirm und Tischchen. Vom Fenster aus hatten wir einen schönen Blick auf´s Schloss. Es gibt zwar keinen Fitness-Raum, wer sich sportlich betätigen will, muss unbedingt die Gegenstromanlage ausprobieren. Die ersetzt den olympischen Pool und das Laufband. Wir waren jeden Abend in der Brasserie essen: Das Essen ist köstlich! Sehr empfehlenswert. Ach, und Hunde sind willkommen, wie wir gesehen haben.

Erwachsenenhotel mit Stil - für ungestörte Wohlfühlmomente

Die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter. Das gesamte Team war zuvorzukommend und herzlich. Unsere Rückmeldung zum Zimmer wurde ernst genommen und zeitnah berücksichtigt. Es war erfreulich zu sehen, dass unser Anliegen aufmerksam behandelt und entsprechend reagier wurde.

Leider mussten wir feststellen, dass das Hotel keinerlei Angebote oder Einrichtungen für die Kinder bereithält. Trotz unserer frühzeitigen Buchung war das Zimmer weder für unser Kind noch für unseren Hund vorbereitet. Zudem möchte ich anmerken, dass der Sauna- und Dampfbadbereich einen direkten Zugang zum Schwimmbad hat. Da sich dort auch unbekleidete Personen aufhalten und gebadet haben, war es für uns leider nicht möglich, das Schwimmbad gemeinsam mit unserer Tochter zu nutzen.

Our stay at Residenz Heinz Winkler was truly unforgettable. This is not just a hotel, but a place of tranquility and comfort, where every detail is thoughtfully considered. My son and I felt genuinely welcomed thanks to the warm hospitality of the Winkler family. The spa provided the perfect retreat, and the restaurant offered memorable gastronomic experiences. The breakfast was especially impressive, setting a wonderful tone for the day. We also appreciated the books about the renowned chef, which added even more charm to the atmosphere. It was also a pleasure to know that our dog was comfortable and well cared for during our stay. This is a place we would love to return to, leaving with a sense of quiet satisfaction.

Maybe good for one time but honestly I am finding it hard to recommend even for one time!

1. Hotel staff were polite 2. They prepared the room for our toddler - there was a changing mat with diaper bin, travel cot was there and good high chair 3. We ate at the restaurant ( dined in and also ordered room service - which cost 15 euros extra- which is ok). They were beyond accommodating as our toddler ended up climbing her chair during the dinner and made a bit of a mess - so we had to take our eight course menu to our hotel room 😂. We are not much of fine dining people : so all we can say is food was delectable. 4. Breakfast was hearty and included in the room price

1. There should be a smoke detector in each room. 2. The garden view room has two rooms - living room below and bedroom above. There is NO washroom or even sink to wash hands below. So basically you enter the room and you have to go up to wash hands. I find this extremely inconvenient and especially with a 19 month old it was a nightmare! 3. Room furniture needs upgrade. TV is from the 2000s. Also, the mattress was very shabby. 4. Please mow the lawn and clean up so guests can go outside a bit 5. Please do not fill the room with furniture- there was no place to move around. The living room was very stuffy.

An oasis of calm to savor lingering and the entertainment of dining. Situated on a hill in a picturesque village, a mountain backdrop with courtyards of calm, we whiled away hours. After the mountain alpenglow, we dined leisurely in the evening, walked around the village at night, slept deeply and luxuriously, read books on the balcony as the sun rose from the mountain tops to start a new day. Then there was a splendid breakfast to start our new day.

Beautiful location and the whole hotel was telling you „Grand Hotel“, if you like this old fashioned luxury, this is a very good place to stay while the quiet town and mountains around guarantee that you will have a relaxed stay! Very good restaurant which was recently stripped of its two Michelin stars BUT (and I am eating a lot in high class restaurants) it is in fact still on at least one star Niveau, trust me! You can still feel the handwriting of Heinz Winkler, the famous chef and owner, who died last autumn. His son was a great host and the wine cellar is very well sorted…many reasons to travel here 🤗🥂
