The location was fab, a pub and Bothams bakers at the end of the road. Whitby is very hilly, but the accommodation was right bang in the centre.

I arrived slightly early and phoned the number to ask about where to park. It turned out I had to park away from the room… then at 3pm walk to the accommodation to check in and collect the permit. I had prepaid £10 for 2 nights. I collected this, then walked back to collect my car and park in one of the designated streets… a bit of a phaff! The bed was comfy, clean bed linen and towels. The bedside lambs were stylish… but totally useless, as they required a USB plug.. not supplied. The basin was very slow to drain (30 minutes) the shower plug did not have guard on it Sort out the issues and it would’ve been 5 stars!

Utterly useless management. We needed to add pets and a car parking pass but the link they sent didn’t work. So we rang them for help. It was answered by either extremely poor Ai, or a human who is even less helpful than extremely poor Ai. After sorting this using the link from a previous stay, we arrived at the property to find the digital code for the door lock didn’t work. Ringing them got the same hopeless Ai / lady, who simply kept repeating how to use the digital lock. Eventually they sent a text with a different code that actually worked. This echoed our previous stay when another guest couldn’t get into the property and had been kept waiting over an hour for help. Their IT system needs updating / fixing and their staff need retraining /replacing. We’ve stayed here twice as the location is perfect but after the stress trying to add to the booking and actually get into the property, we won’t be staying again!
