Very relaxing stay

Everything was great-The accommodation was clean and modern , the pool is a lovely size. The staff couldn't do enough for us. The accommodation was clean and modern Air conditioning worked great. Loved it.

The wifi didn't work so well in our room but it seemed like it was more of a blackspot than anything as our data didn't work great either but it would not turn me off booking again

Perfect for grandparents

The cleaning staff was incredible. Room was very clean and extremely quiet.

The lowest WiFi connectivity I’ve experienced at any location. Not for digital nomad, at all. I tried to cancel my first few hours and was told to reference the cancellation policy. The hotel was listed as “Adults only” but had a female child “working” there. (Family business) I had guests for pizza in the common area and staff came to tell me others were sleeping (before 10pm using indoor voices, outside) The conversation was a sensitive topic so I assure everyone that the volume was more than acceptable. My guests were uncomfortable and left.

Exotica was a private and quiet oasis right in the heart of Canggu.

Exotica was a private and quiet oasis right off the main street of Canggu. Quality boutique B&B/hotel and having a 'mini Villa' feel with really nice furnishings. The pool was beautiful and relaxing and surrounded by tropical trees and plants. The staff are great and gracious and the property is well maintained. This is Bali style.

It’s a very calm and peaceful place, a little corner of paradise! It’s clean and comfortable, very close from the beach or any other activity in Canggu Everyone is very kind there and the lady’s are doing everything to help you to enjoy your stay I’ll come back!

A Lovely Stay in Canggu

Beautiful property set far enough back from the road you aren’t bothered by traffic noise. Room was lovely and spacious. Staff are incredibly friendly.

Slight issue with the AC in our room but we were quickly moved to another room. Put laundry in and it took over two days to get it back.

A beautiful stay with some refinements recommended

I arrived at Denpasar airport about 3 pm and it was an hour and a half Grab drive to the accommodation. I was greeted by Ayu (female host) who is there from morning till evening and can help with any needs. There is a long lane way to walk down (2 min walk), and when I arrived there was an Indian wedding taking place. So I was walking through a wedding with my luggage. This was a really interesting experience and the people were friendly. The accommodation itself is very secure. I stayed in the large room which had a bathtub, and I loved that the bath filled really quickly. The room has floor to ceiling curtains and they are very heavy, so the room is dark, which I enjoy very much

I had arranged with Ayu to leave the key somewhere as I was leaving at 3:30 am for the airport. When out of nowhere a woman appears, she doesn’t introduce herself, but just asks, “Are you checking out, have you paid, what room are you in?” It was a really unpleasant experience and my driver couldn’t get out because her car was blocking the way… it turns out that this woman was the owner … It would’ve been really nice to hear, I’m sorry we’re blocking your way out, have you enjoyed your stay, we’re really glad that you stayed. I had to ask who she was because she didn’t introduce herself and she was taking the keys and I didn’t want the keys to be given to some random person. I had settled my account in full two days prior to leaving, so I wonder if Ayu could let the owner know to avoid such an unpleasant interaction again. The towels were old, for a place marketing itself as “luxury“ the towels could do with an upgrade. There was no bidet, very unusual for Bali accommodation and I would’ve loved a]one. This was the only accommodation that I’ve been to that does not ask for payment upfront, that is, upom arrival. Unfortunately they added a 3% card surcharge, which I also found unusual in Bali. If I had known there would be a surcharge I would have just brought extra cash and converted it because they charged me an extra 3% and my bank charged me 3%, so it all adds up. So I would’ve liked this information on the Booking website or to be advised in advance. There was a knack to locking the room door. Fortunately I had arrived at a time when Ayu was present and she could figure out how to lock the door herself. At first she struggled also. On the evening of Thursday 25th, there was some loud music going on till late at a nearby property. And then on Monday 29th at 3:30 am there were, what sounded like a really loud door banging, but it was probably firecrackers being set off nearby.

Great Villa and staff

The rooms were spacious and very clean, nice seating areas and pool was clean. Great central location, whilst still quiet. The staff were very welcoming and they also offer services, ie laundry.

It was a little confusing when we first arrived as wasn’t sure whether we were at the right place, and need to wait for the staff to open the door. However that is the only thing!

Great location, very friendly staff

The staff are super friendly. The bed is very soft (may be too soft for some). The free barista coffees everyday are great. The location is great. Near the main road but far enough down a long driveway that there is not much noise at all.

The shower pressure is terrible. The hot water takes a long time to come through. There is a very bright down light right outside the room we stayed (4). This light comes through the side of the curtains at night and shines right onto your face as you're trying to sleep. The curtains should either completely cover the door so no light comes through, or you should have the option to turn the light off. The toilet seat was broken. I almost broke my toe. The walkway sections just before the stairs going to the rooms do not line up. I smashed my toe on this lip when I was walking up the stairs, causing major bruising and pain and almost breaking my toe. This should be fixed permanently, but at a minimum put some yellow caution tape on it so at least it is visible.

Perfect location and the nicest staff ever! The room was spotless and was absolutely beautiful. We loved our stay here! We had to check out early and the staff were so accommodating and couldn’t do enough to help. Thank you so much.

Quiet, peaceful stay in the middle of a busy Canggu

Exotica Villa was a great place to stay whilst in Canggu. The staff were absolutely amazing and couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. The facilities were always clean and the rooms were very cosy. Exotica Villas are in an ideal location, as everything is within walking distance from the front door. It is just off one of the main streets in Canggu, and yet the resort itself is quiet and peaceful! Would really recommend this place if you are staying in Canggu!

It is expensive for the type of ammenities and services which I got.

Property was clean.

We extended our stay for another day and they moved us to a room which was not as good as the one they gave is before. The bathroom size was smaller and door doesn’t get closed. On informing them about the issue they offered to reduce the price a bit. Also, it is the only place in Bali where I have paid money to keep the luggage after checking out for couple of hours. This feels like a rip off.

It was a lovely stay, would definitely recommend!

Great location! It’s tucked away in a little side street so you don’t hear the noise and traffic from the city but you’re still in an ideal spot being connected to one of the main roads in Canggu! It’s very close to a lot of popular restaurants, cafes, shops/markets - I walked to most places! My room was beautiful. There are not a lot of rooms which meant it was super quiet and not crowded at all so you’re able to switch off and relax when needed. The staff were very lovely too :)
