Very clean, good vibe, everything 👌🏻

1) Spotless My room and common areas within the estate (e.g., kitchens, stairwells) were spotless due to the thorough and diligent staff - terima kasih Nengah, Putu, Made, and another lady whose name I regretted not getting. Having stayed at several guesthouses in Canggu, I was very impressed with the outstanding job the cleaning staff did (I didn't see a single ant in my room!) 2) Fully equipped like your own home Room and Bathroom were more spacious than I imagined (from pics). The high ceiling and light fixtures in the room made it conducive to read and work after dusk. I REALLY appreciated the shower which provided consistent, hot water+ pressure any time of the day. The rooftop terrace - with both shaded and non-shaded areas - was well-designed and furnished (incl. a second kitchen). I looked forward to hanging out there either alone or with company. 3) Fast and strong WIFI that never lost connection throughout my 9 days, and only required one-time sign-in from my phone and laptop.

Booking turmoil on my first 2 days --- Despite having paid in full for my room "with a balcony" a month ago, I was assigned a room on the ground floor, then informed that all their balcony rooms were occupied. Allegedly, the property owner/staff were misinformed by their agent (All Villas) of my room specification. Not only did All Villas deny their oversight, the agent insisted that I accepted the given room (meaning I was overcharged) or to cancel my reservation on Booking.com citing that "I did not show up" (which was untrue). She kept insisting on being right when my Booking.com confirmation slip clearly stated "Deluxe Double Room WITH BALCONY". Only after an hour of back and forth did she acquiesce to instigate the cancellation from her end so Booking.com would do a full refund directly to me. This incident caused: 1) distress and frustration for a traveller arriving at 8 pm expecting to check in with no issue; 2) two days of stress/uncertainty regarding my payment made and accommodation. I would stay at Bagas Bagus in a heartbeat were it not for the above turmoil resulting from the property staff's failure to double-check with their agent OR their guest on the room specification.

This place is a great find! So clean and comfortable. Location is perfect and the staff are brilliant and so friendly. Bikes and laundry all available too!
