Love Affair Apartment

The views from both the front balcony over the old town and the private terrace are stunning. You are just across from the sea. The apartment is beautifully decorated, lots of space for the 4 of us. Super comfortable beds and sofa. Spotlessly clean. The bathroom feels newly decorated and had a superb shower. Plenty of fluffy white towels. The galley kitchen had everything we needed. It is about a 10 min walk into the heart of the historic, gorgeous old town with so many restaurants, cafes and bars. Spoiled for choice. We absolutely loved our stay here and hope to come back and stay again in this wonderful apartment.

I would not say didn’t like but just to point out a few things. The apartment is on the top floor. One set of steps outside then 4 floors inside. The stairs are wide and steps are shallow. We are all in our fifties and sixty’s and managed the stairs fine. The views are your reward. The walk into the town centre is on slight incline, coming back it goes up but it’s a gentle incline and was never a challenge. In the bedrooms there was no hanging space or drawers for clothes, this could be easily rectified. These are small things and in no way took away our enjoyment of the apartment. We loved it.

Fabulous, quiet position with incredible views and quality furnishings. Just 10 mins from.the old town. There are steps up to the property, but no more than anywhere else in the town. It's a hilly place! Great arrival instructions, we were able to spot the property immediately from the airport transfer bus, so no stress with finding it when we arrived. Two small supermarkets with everything you need just minutes away. We used the one above us most, next door to the Biker Bar. Responsive and helpful host.

I think odd kitchen items such as dinner plates and table knives have been broken or lost without being reported to the hosts, but we still could easily cope as a couple with what was there.

Lots of space both inside and outside

The apartment has some fantastic positives, particularly the unbeatable views, excellent location, tasteful décor, and cleanliness throughout. It’s only a short downhill walk to Ploče Gate/Old Town, and the hosts were very accommodating in allowing us to store our luggage before check-in. Despite the climb to reach the apartment, the views once you get to the top are absolutely spectacular and genuinely worth it.

There were several issues with the accommodation itself. The bathroom was very cramped, especially around the toilet, where your knees almost touch the glass shower screen. The shower also floods badly, leaving water all over the floor and around the toilet, completely soaking the bath mat after each use. The bedrooms were disappointing. Despite having double beds, only a single sheet was provided on each bed, which made sleeping comfortably and moving around difficult. One bedroom door did not close properly, and the ceiling lights in that room were not working, leaving only two bedside lights available. Storage was also extremely limited, with no wardrobe, hanging space, or drawers for unpacking. The only drawer available was already full of spare blankets and cushions. One bedroom had only a fan instead of air conditioning, and we were unable to get the fan working effectively. The kitchen was missing some basic essentials, including a tea towel and water glasses – only wine glasses were provided. Potential guests should also be aware that access involves climbing five flights of stairs (one outside and four inside), which can be challenging with heavy suitcases.
