About this house rental

This family home comprises three bedrooms (one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one spare bedroom with day bed), a living room and kitchen diner . A balcony runs along the back of the house and offers amazing views that extend down to the coast and across to Africa as well as to the neighbouring mountains and the village with its castle. There is a wood burning stove and two air conditioning units/ heaters . Parking is outside the front door.
The house has recently been renovated and decorated.
During July and August the owner will pay the tiket for the municipal swimming pool.

We had a wonderful week here, Josefi’s casa was perfect. Close to the municipal pool and a short walk into the lovely town of Gaucin. The view from the balcony was sublime. Highly recommend

Perfect place to immerse yourself into Spain

Beautiful, well appointed casa in a lovely quiet town with spectacular views over the valley below and on a clear day Gibraltar and sea. We never tired of the view. The casa is tastefully decorated with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Aircon, toaster, microwave, iron, cooker, washing machine and plenty of hot water. 3 large bedrooms with plenty of storage, all of them have patio door access to the slim balcony so you can admire the view from your room. We used to leave the doors open while we were there for the cooling breeze that flows through the casa. There is a huge bathroom with twin sinks, large mirror with lights. Large TV in the lounge but no English channels but we did not miss TV at all while there. A vast selection of DVDs if you did want to chill out infront of the TV. Stereo for music kept kids happy. We had tickets provided for free access to the large town swimming pool which was just a few minutes walk away and spent a few fun times there. It was large and clean with lifeguards on duty. It has a nice well kept area around it to relax. The location of the casa is on the edge of Gaucin (pronounced Gau 'thin') town so you don't have to navigate the small streets of the town. With parking right outside. Gaucin is small so very easy to walk into town to the lovely restaurants in the evening. A few good small supermarkets to get essentials if needed. Though large supermarkets are an easy 30 min drive if you want to do a big shop, like we did at the beginning. The petrol station is a 1 minute drive away. The people of Gaucin are friendly and we always felt at ease when out and about in town. The location of Gaucin is ideal to explore Andalusia. We travelled to quite a few places from the casa. Ronda is an hour relaxing drive away which is a must see. Gibraltar is only an hour away. We found out afterwards that you can normally take your hire car into Gibraltar. We didn't and it was a hassle with Gibraltar buses. Cadiz is 1.5 hours and so is Malaga. We regulay drove into Estepona for the beach and dinner. The host Josefi was an absolute angel. Friendly and efficient. Easily contactable and resolved any issue quickly and with no fuss. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this casa to anyone wanting an authentic Spanish getaway.

Perfect place to stay in Gaucin

We have just returned after spending a week at Casa Fefi and we couldn’t have been happier with the accommodation. The house is well built with large air conditioned bedrooms with amazing views right down to the coast where you can see Gibraltar and North Africa. It’s kitted out with everything you need including a fully equipped kitchen, fast WiFi plus a place to study (I have children that needed to do homework so was perfect to give them a quiet space to work each day). It also has an amazingly large corner bath with a huge hot water tank! The house is in quiet spot situated at the edge of the village as you come up from the coast. Just a couple of minutes away from the amazing local pool, some lovely tapas bars (Check out Bar Chaparro for great food and outdoor eating) plus the supermarket. The plaza is a gentle 10 minute stroll away where there are more local tapas bars including Casa Antonia and Paco Pepes (My kids favourite!) I had my two boys with me and it was the perfect little getaway house if you want somewhere comfortable and affordable to stay in the village that provides a base to explore the surrounding areas. Joseffi was a great host and was available as needed throughout the stay. Highly recommended and would book again. Thank you x

This casa exeeded our expectations. Not only was it bigger than we thought but the homely atmosphere with wonderful art throughout made it the best we have stayed at during out many visits to the area. The balcony has wonderful views of the village and over the genal valley. The kitchen had everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable whilst the wifi was handy for the kids. The bonus is the parking space outside the casa so no lugging cases up steep streets which is often the case in these mountain villages. We were delighted to have attended the feria which was on for three days and filled the village with festivity. A wonderful Casa a lovely village...highly recommended. Thank you we will be back.

Josefi is a very kind host, always ready to answer any question, but very unimposing. The house balcony has great views. Gaucin is a great spot for a quiet, relaxing break/vacation. But only at a short 30 minute drive to the busy beach.

Die Unterkunft hat eine perfekte Lage am Rande des sehenswerten Ortes Gaucin und ist sehr geräumig. Auffallend ist die Sauberkeit des Objektes. Es steht alles zur Verfügung, was gebraucht wird. Der Rundumblick vom Balkon ist überwältigend, auf den Ort mit abends beleuchteter Burg, die bergige Landschaft bis an die Küste zur Straße von Gibraltar. Die Vermieterin ist ausgesprochen freundlich, sehr bemüht und besonders hilfsbereit. Im Ort gibt es einen gut sortierten Supermarkt und viele sehr gute und günstige Restaurants mit freundlicher Bedienung. Die Ortsmitte ist von der Unterkunft gut zu Fuß erreichbar. An die Küste fährt man 25 Minuten durch eine interessante Landschaft. Viele sehenswerte Orte und Strände sind gut zu erreichen. Es war ein gelungener Urlaub, sehr empfehlenswert!
