Lovely guesthouse with very helpful host.

This is a lovely guesthouse in a quiet location. It was handy for bertchesgarden and visiting Eagles Neat. The owner is lovely and very helpful and the room was large and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. I would stay here again.

The owner is super nice and really cares about us. She gave us many useful information. The breakfast is very traditional and delicious. From the presentation and the quality of the food, I can tell the owner really cares and takes her business seriously. The view of the room is spectacular! We can see the eagle nest and the cable cars clearly. The room is clean and comfortable. For me the size of the room is bigger than usual double-bedded room. There is also a balcony attached, where one can enjoy the view. If you take public transportations like us, you may want to double check the bus schedule. We missed our bus one day and we walked back from the train station. Though it is only 20 mins, the way is mainly uphill and we burned some Calories for our walk back.

Wonderful location. The house was very warm and cozy. Frau Kati was simply fantastic!

The breakfast was outstanding. Everything you would like was available, and Frau Kati would make us cooked to order eggs perfectly. Full pot of great coffee too! Unlike modern hotel rooms (which all look alike), the room was full of openable windows which allowed fresh air and the sounds of nature in. The balcony was wrapaound so there were two sides to see. The weather wasn't great when we visited but when the mountains were visible, it was spectacular. Speaking of weather, on a rain day, we forgot our umbrellas, but Frau Kati got two of her own immediately for us to use. We had a rental car, but a bus route passed in front (fare included in the city room tax), and Frau Kati printed out the schedules for us. A word about Frau Kati - she made us feel like it was our own home, was always there to answer any questions, and provided a great breakfast. Per the location, it is between Berchtesgaden and Königsee, which we found to be optimal. Everything was 5-10min away by car, yet both could be reached by walking (abt an hour). A few nearby restaurants can easily be reached on foot from there. Like most pensions, bathrooms are small vs regular/luxe hotel rooms - but ours was clean with plenty with hot water. No worries there. The service you'll get here though will be as good or better than the luxe hotels. Will certainly return again if in the area.

we fell in love

A very beautiful boutique hotel in the middle of nature. We enjoyed our stay for 3 days. You can walk to the center of Königssee and Berchtesgaden center with very beautiful views. Everything in the room was very clean and the room size was enough for 2 people. The breakfast was what we liked the most. Everything was very tasty. The desserts looked very nice, we couldn't try them but we will definitely come here again!

Everything, just everything. If I have to pinpoint something - the super fragrance coming from the towels, the cleanliness, the view from the terrace and most importantly the smiling faces and hospitality of Thomas and Katy!

There is nothing actually one can dislike about the place. May be the Wi-Fi speed was slow but who needs it as after whole day of grueling hikes you sleep early anyways!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Sehr freundlicher, aufmerksamer und hilfsbereiter Empfang und Service. Angenehmes und ruhiges Zimmer mit Balkon mit schönem Blick in die Berge. Kleines, aber sehr gut, modern und sehr sauber eingerichtetes Bad. Gutes Frühstück. Sehr guter Kaffee. Alles da, was man braucht. E-Bikes konnten sicher untergestellt werden.
