The location in Alfama could hardly be better - it's an old and very characterful area with lots to see, plenty of places to eat, and close to transport. The apartment was comfortable and clean and the outdoor seating and quiet private areas were most welcome.
The steep stairs and distance from the bathroom (downstairs) to the bedroom (upstairs) could be awkward for some, The kitchen was well-equipped, but missing some items (small saucepan, baking tray, that kind of thing) so would have needed a visit to a homeware shop to be OK for a long self-catering stay -- perhaps items had got broken or lost and not replaced. The kettle tripped the circuit-breaker a few times; tip, it's located near the exit to the balcony! Final tip: the WiFi name was "Alfama Terrace B" not B1 as the check-in instructions said.
