Il Verreno

My husband is vegan and the staff at breakfast and in their gorgeous restaurant went out of their way to make him the most delicious food. They made so much effort to give him multiple options each night and the food was out of this world. I would highly highly recommend Il Verreno to anyone travelling in Tuscany but particularly if you vegan / vegetarian.

The calm luxury of the location, bedrooms, pool, staff, and meals was unbeatable! Our stay at Il Verreno was the relaxing part of our two week vacation to Italy, and every part of it exceeded our expectations and left us rejuvenated. My kids (7 and 14) delighted in the property dogs, beautiful pool, and super friendly staff. Our suite (the two bedroom Cavillo) was huge, private, relaxing, and quiet. The staff treated us with such kindness and prompt attention to every detail - I've never felt more like a princess in a fairy tale! Our cooking class with the restaurant's chef was a major highlight, as was every meal we had at Cucina Donnaluisa.

The only thing I would have preferred was having the AC work a little stronger. The rooms were still cooled off compared to outside, but nights were a little warmer than we like.

Panoramic pool, a lot of animals around like hares, birds, big frogs, etc)

Narrow steep stairs to the room, especially if your wife has a heavy suitcase

We spent one of our most beautiful vacation days at the accommodation. We were so happy that we extended our stay. It is a beautiful complex with very comfortable rooms. There were two highlights: on the one hand, the restaurant with its incredibly good food and very friendly service—a culinary delight that must be experienced. And last but not least, the adorable dogs Lola and Ari, who gave us a warm welcome every day and whom we already miss very much. We will definitely come back sometime. Thank you very much.
