Completely unexpected brilliance. The setting.the quality of the room .attention to detail
And a beautifully presented and magical cooking .the Someliar did more for my knowledge about Chianti in 5 mins than I had ever grasped in the past. It was just continously above the level expected partly because there was no Michelin star and there should have been and thus it was a lovely surprise. Well done to all who work there.
Should have booked for two nights

This is a beautiful place and the room was lovely. Staff and food were great. Stunning views and very peaceful.
There is only one thing! You can't really walk to the village, you have to drive because the hotel is quite far and can only be accessed by a single vehicle width, rocky track, with nowhere for pedestrians to walk and no lights at night. So we had to use the car every time we left the property.
