They were not flexible when plans changed. Aldo, they need new mattresses, pillows, in-room furniture. Limited heating too. Overall, not ideal.

A Perfect Tuscan Getaway – Pure Relaxation and Charm

Our stay at Relais Villa Baldelli was absolutely wonderful! The property and rooms have a charming rustic character, yet everything is impeccably clean and well-maintained. It's clear that great care is taken to ensure every guest's wishes are fulfilled. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Breakfast was a daily highlight—fresh, varied, and of excellent quality. Despite the intimate size of the hotel, the selection was always generous and diverse, with something for every taste. We especially loved having a private entrance to our room, which allowed us to sit outside in the evenings and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. The view of Cortona from the property is simply breathtaking, and the clean, well-kept pool was the perfect way to cool off and unwind. There were always enough loungers available, and the atmosphere around the pool was calm and relaxing. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and are deeply grateful for the warm hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the beauty and tranquility of Tuscany!

Perfect stay in Cortona area

We stayed here for a week and had a great stay. The hotel is run by very friendly and helpful people. Location is perfect as it is a 5 minute drive from Cortona while the hotel itself sits in complete peace and quiet surrounded by nature and great views. Rooms are spacious and clean. The pool area was great as is it was never too busy with great views on Cortona.

Absolutely gorgeous country house style hotel with amazing surroundings and serene environment

An amazingly beautiful country house style hotel with lovely and helpful staff. We loved the room (junior suite, which is in a separate little building) with all its quirks and imperfections that you'd expect for a somewhat aged Tuscan style house, just like we had hoped for! The atmosphere and setup of the hotel and its immediate surroundings, its serenity and calmness, the wonderful "bird orchestra" in the trees all around the plot, they all added up to a blissful stay.

The only thing that didn't work as expected was the wifi. We couldn't connect to it in our room for the entire stay. They said that it was a faulty router (access point?) and that they would replace it but didn't manage to get it done during our stay so we had to use our mobile data which wasn't great due the thickness of the room's walls (real walls, not just some plaster or "papier mâché" kind of walls that you'd find in US hotels...). Overall that wasn't a real issue though since the stay there isn't about the internet speed after all...

Really pleasant relaxed stay in quiet, well located hotel with great staff

We all liked the relaxed vibe of the hotel and the outdoor seating areas for breakfast. The pool area was also very pleasant and the location suited us very well. The hotel had an faded, grand air about it but that very much added to it's charm. Nice big rooms, comfortable beds. The staff were really lovely and could not have been more friendly or helpful.

Air con could have been a bit more energetic ! Our shower cubical was quite small and up some steps so would not suit patrons of all ages - don't let that put you off though - just worth checking that detail before you book.

Could be better

The building looks good on the outside. The breakfast garden has a nice vibe :) The pool is nice and groomed.

The property location has not the Tuscany vibe. It is near the main row that takes you to Cortona and you feel this. They do not provide irons in the rooms, only ironing service. People need to understand that not everyone is comfortable with that. Also, the service is available in the morning only, so if you want to iron your clothes in the afternoon to prepare for dinner, it is not possible and no one is giving you any solution. Not sure why, but this property has tons of insecte of any kind. Mosquitos, flies, wasps. Attached some pictures. We were terrorised for 3 days straight. You cannot relax at the pool. We initially thought it’s only near the pool but they are also in the breakfast garden. Unfortunately, something was not right ..:( Definitely needs renovation, the shower is very old.

Superb

The team at Relais Villa Baldelli were very friendly, helpful and professional. The swimming pool is beautiful, with views over the Tuscan hills. The rooms were large and clean. We slept very well as it is a peaceful location, extra large beds and the window shutters offer complete darkness!

The dining area, lounge and bar area could be improved as these areas are a little dated but it didn't affect our stay.

The setting was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by a vineyard and beautiful landscaping. Lovely view looking up to Cortona. The staff was amazing and so friendly. Our room was very very comfortable and very spacious. And the breakfast was always delicious!

Charmingly Tuscan accommodations with excellent service.

The grounds of this beautiful villa are just stunning. The pool is nestled between a sunflower field & a vineyard, making it just about the most Tuscan thing possible. It’s the perfect place to enjoy an aperitivo while enjoying a lovely view of Cortona. The staff is very friendly & helpful, and the breakfast in the garden was picturesque on top of being delicious. Parking was included and the city center of Cortona was just a short drive up the hill. Our room was also quite large with a good sized bathroom and very efficient air conditioning (a must for us when visiting Italy in the summer).

I prefer a bit of a softer bed, but I know that’s a very personal preference and one that obviously can’t be tailored to each guest. Regardless, I slept wonderfully and woke up each morning refreshed and ready to explore Tuscany. I will certainly be recommending Villa Baldelli to friends & family for future trips!

A lovely hotel just outside of Cortona

A lovely place to stay just outside of Cortona. You definitely need a car to get in to the main town but this place was perfect and it was lovely to have breakfast in the garden each morning. The pool was also great!

Room was a little small but we spent the majority of our time outside or exploring the area so it didn't matter too much!

Charming house on great location

The location of this hotel is unbelievable. From the pool you have the prettiest view on Cortona. You get to stay in a very old house and it is amazing how well things have been preserved. Like you are visiting a movie scene! The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

We got in upgrade what we really appreciated. However, considering the price of that specific room, the bed was really bad. It’s been a long time since we slept so bad. Also, since it is quite a “boutique” hotel, we thought the showers should need an update. When all the guests shower at the same time, there isn’t a lot of water pressure. Further, we know Italians don’t really take a big breakfast, but to us the breakfast was quite dissapointing with very little choice.

Very good

Staff were excellent. Very beautiful surroundings. Pool was fantastic. We stayed there with our dog and we were given a garden room which was great as he could go straight out into the garden. Bed was very very comfortable.

We did not have a shower in our room, only a bathtub with a hand shower and the pressure was very low. We stayed for 6 days and this was not ideal. Despite the room being large, there was nowhere to sit down in the room other than the bed. There was a couch in the room but no coffee table or anything to put a drink on.

Excellent place in beautiful location

The location is beautiful, we started the hike from the hotel. Bed was extra comfy and we had an amazing sleep. Breakfast in the garden is a delight with fresh local products and eggs. Very well maintained, helpful staff and awesome evening by the pool with a view to the surrounding mountains and Cortona. Also the area is very quiet for resting.

Great stay at 10 minutes of Cortona City

It was a really relaxing stay at Villa Baldelli. We stayed in the Junior Suite, which was very spacious and private.
