Quiet beauty 30 minutes from Varenna

We loved the property. We appreciated the support from the property manager, Paulo. This is located away from the heavy tourist spots so it was nice and quiet.

Breath taking view of Como and surrounding mountain

Everything was great, the hospitality, facility and location. Quite close to a big shopping mall and a smaller Conad nearby. There is a fully functioning kitchen included for the Margherita room, very useful to cook Italian food! Bed was nice, shower was strong, room is comfortable for the Italian Spring in Lake Como! Plenty of walks nearby, can stroll along the river connected to Como, and absolutely stunning mountain view of Monte Legnone.

We sort of saw the heater payment in the information file, but luckily wasn't charged maybe due to Spring? But Paolo did reassured us there was no charge. There was a bottle of wine included but we didn't drink it, but that was very kind of the host to provide to us :) Oh, be careful of the gravelly hump when you drive here in a Fiat 500 or low base cars.... Will definitely come again.

Amazing stay

The location is the most beautiful thing. I would love to come back one time in summer. It's a quiet location surrounded by mountains. The staff is very lovely. We did not have any complaints with them. Everything is well taken care of. The apartment was super clean and with everything needed for cooking and cleaning. The view from the room was also amazing.

As the property is located very remotely, the last patch of road leading to it was a little too bumpy but we also walked to and from the train station one day and it was a nice walk. Overall can't complain.

A quiet gem tucked away.

Paolo and his wife were very welcoming. The house itself was well equipped with modern appliances and easy to find. There was ample of parking space available and the pool looked amazing. There shared washing machine and dryer were top notch Miele products. I had meetings until noon and we were allowed to check out later at no extra cost. Great for walking by the stream at the back. I highly recommend this place.

Perfect ‘home away from home’. Lovely and friendly staff, beautiful (and beyond basic) amenities. It felt like such a perfect find. We stayed for a week with our two boys, who loved the pool.

Great stay , beautiful location, wonderful people

Location is amazing if you are looking for a quiet experience . Mountains and beautiful green landscape make it wonderful. Nearest town is about 2.2 kms away. Lake Como is accessible via a 25 min walk ( the road is fine ) or by car a few minutes away. The hosts were super nice and accommodating. All facilities are there to cook by self. There were also coffee machine and pods Evelyn our host was very friendly and helpful.

The road to the stay is bumpy and not well maintained. The WiFi in our apartment was quite spoty. There should be some basic facilities for food available /like breads.

The views were fantastic and it was very silent (because it was very remote)

The road to the accommodation was very poor, our appartement (Erica) was not easily accessible and the bed was not comfortable. The fencing of the balcony was dangerous at some points.

Beautiful stay with mountain view close to the lake

I absolutely loved the stay. As a solo traveller I found exactly what I was looking for: a beautiful stay in the mountains with great view and swimming pool. The wifi worked well and allowed to work from there. The owner shared with me the closest path to get to the city for groceries since I was not travelling by car and it all worked out great. Bring any-mosquito spray :)

Shampoo was missing. Also some water/ oil /salt /coffee would have been nice to have since I arrived on Sunday and stores were closed.

Would go back anytime - this surrounding and view beats everything. But a few things should be fixed

- Amazing view from terrace, over a filed a huge mountains in the background. - Very relaxing and calm surrounding, close to the Adda river and next to lake Como - Paulo was very nice and helpful - Thee pool is nice

- The bed was pretty uncomfortable (=hard). In addition, it was squeky, and when anyone turned around during sleep, it was very much felt by the other. - Wifi/Internet not really useful, should be addressed for the future

Good facilities - swimming pool, washing machine, comfortable beds. margehrita flat cool, even though we couldn’t get the air con to work.

despite the owners efforts the bathroom had a damp problem. it didn’t bother us too much for our short stay, but it would have impacted if we had stayed longer.

A touch of the natural Italy

It is really quiet, lovely quiet..... The rooms are old style, nice and clean. Feels like a touch of Italy :-) The owners are wonderful people and we are certain to return.

There could be more light in the room. I had to open the front door to let light in to see the details of my cooking in the kitchen. The road could also do with a filling up of the pot holes.

Fint opphold, men ikke vær så sparsomme med rom og bad på slutten av september

Fine omgivelser, stille og landlig, bra, funksjonell og ren men ikke luxus leilighet. Men for lite varme på rom og bad, ved årstid slutten av september. Anbefaler også noe mer vedlikehold på adkomstvei fra hovedvei. Ellers godt fornøyd med oppholdet.

Alles in allem kann man das Borgo Erbiola absolut weiterempfehlen!

Wir waren im Ferienhaus „Mimosa“! Das Borgo Erbiola bietet eine sehr schöne und gepflegte Anlage mit traumhaftem Pool. Die Gastgeber sind auch sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Und übrigens, sind die (echt besch…)Wege mittlerweile wieder ausgebessert worden. Nix desto trotz, bleibt die Zufahrt ein Schotterweg. Aber in Ordnung!

Aanrader! Ruim, rust en privacy.

Heerlijke rustige locatie, 10 min rijden van Colico centrum en haven, daar kun je de boot nemen om de andere plaatsen aan het Comomeer te bezoeken. De zandweg er heen is nogal hobbelig ( rit duurt ca. 5 minuten)) , is minder geschikt voor ( lage) sportauto’s. Accomodatie heel geschikt voor families met ( kleine) kinderen, veel privacy.

Ideal para relajarse!!

Nos ha gustado todo, para nosotros que preferíamos estar alejados y poder visitar todos los pueblos del lago con el ferry pero dormir al pie de las montañas la ubicación ha sido ideal, de lo más bonito!! El apartamento es muy cómodo, operativo y bonito en decoración, y la anfitriona ha sido súper amable y considerada, hemos tenido que salir corriendo por un problema personal y casi no nos dio tiempo ni a decirle que nos marchábamos. La piscina no la hemos probado porque abría justo el día que nos íbamos pero tiene una pintaza y unas vistas de ensueño!!

No hay nada que nos haya decepcionado del alojamiento. Todo bien!

Ich weiß gar nicht wo ich anfangen soll, es war alles!!!! phantastisch. Paolo und seine Frau sind super nett, die Aussicht von der Terrasse umwerfend, der Pool super toll zum abkühlen, die Anlage außergewöhnlich gepflegt..

Prachtig appartement op schitterende locatie met veel zingende vogels.

Prachtig appartement in een verbouwde boerderij. Het complex heeft meerdere gebouwtjes. Wij verbleven in Viola. Dit appartement heeft nog een lage bovenverdieping die we niet gebruikt hebben omdat we met z'n tweeën waren. Maar deze verdieping is niet echt geschikt voor volwassenen. De boerderij is stijlvol verbouwd en ingericht met mooi bijpassende meubels. Een lekker bank. Op het balkonnetje 2 comfy stoeltjes, net zoals in de tuin, waar ook nog een ruime tafel stond om buiten te kunnen eten.

De toegangsweg is een beetje een uitdaging. Een gravel weg van een kilometer, met veel kuilen en dus gehobbel. Met regen niet echt fijn. Je kan wel makkelijk naar het stadje lopen over een kortere weg door het weiland. in 15 minuten ben je op het centrale plein.

Wenn es etwas zu bemängeln gibt, dann ist es lediglich die Anfahrt zur Unterkunft. Der letzte Kilometer ist unbefestigt und sehr holprig.

Urlaub im Paradies

Ein kleines Paradies! Ruhig gelegen, die Gastgeber waren super nett und hilfsbereit. Während unseres Aufenthalts war es abends etwas kühl und für uns wurde extra die Heizung wieder angeworfen, sehr aufmerksam! Unsere Wohnung war sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir konnten auch die Waschmaschine nutzen. Unseren Hund konnten wir auch mitbringen! Die gesamte Anlage mit mehreren Häusern ist sehr gepflegt. Ein Highlight ist sicherlich das Schwimmbad.

Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die schlechte Straße (wenn man das überhaupt so nennen kann). Der Feldweg zu den Häusern ist übersät mit teils tiefen Schlaglöchern. Vermutlich kann der Eigentümer nichts dafür, weil es evtl. in der Verantwortung der Gemeinde liegt, aber vielleicht lässt sich hierfür eine Lösung finden.
