This is a quality place to stay. A warm welcome and coffee in the lounge bar, our room had every detail covered. The decor, soft furnishings and everything about the Haytor Hotel had been carefully and thoughtfully presented. I had a great night's sleep in a ridiculously comfy huge bed with wonderful matress topper. Breakfast specially cooked and beautifully presented., and at a nice relaxed pace so we could take time to enjoy our surroundings.
The only negative being we'd booked for one night to see a show. I wish we'd been able to linger longer!

Breakfast was of excellent quality with lots of choice. Welcome was warm, everything was neat, tidy, clean and in good order.

Lovely friendly reception by the owner John and later his wife with coffee/tea and a piece of cake on arrival.
The standard of decorating particularly the paintwork was exceptional .
The cleanliness of everything was beyond excellent
The bed was a full king size and so incredibly comfortable
The breakfast was cooked to perfection and to order in the old fashioned way
Ample free parking
Room 5 was perhaps a little smaller than I would have hoped
