Beautiful Chateau and wonderful staff

Lovely quiet stay with great food near ferry terminal

We enjoyed staying in this striking pink chateau set in extensive grounds with countryside beyond, lovely and quiet. The room was furnished in historical style and was spacious and comfortable with a decent en-suite, even if the shower was the sort that hangs over the bath. The best thing of all was the superb dinner, served 'at 7pm sharp' with such care and attention by our friendly hosts, delicious food with a Cambodian inflection. Breakfast was also excellent with an extensive spread.

The real deal Chateau experience.

A real gem, if you want the real Chateau experience it’s the place to stay. Wonderful food and reasonably priced.

The garden is sadly not really looked after, access to the lake is overgrown and there is a truly amazing old greenhouse that is falling down, Random outdoor furniture around the place. Such potential it could be amazing.

Beautiful place in a great location.

Location was perfect for an overnight stay before catching the ferry. Staff/hosts were so friendly and helpful and are clearly very proud of the property. Free mini bar was a nice touch.

A magical place, stepping back in time. Staff were brilliant. We had dinner there one night and it was delicious. Although in the countryside, St Malo, the old city, is only minutes away. We would stay here again.

My husband and I were in awe of the hotel’s history and authentic architecture! The grounds were gorgeous for a leisurely morning walk. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately the restaurant/kitchen on site was closed during our one night stay so we didn’t get a chance to enjoy an unforgettable supper experience.

Atmospheric , but poor value for money.

Old building full of character Friendly staff

More of a 3-star hotel, not 4-star. Expensive for the facilities. small room. Bathroom very small, wc almost unusable as so small. Shower over bathtub difficult to use without getting water everywhere. Had to climb over bed on one side to get into bed. Electrics seemed a bit dicey. Breakfast only from 8 am, had to miss as early ferry.

It was so lovely - I could live there!!!

The location was very pretty. I loved looking out of my bedroom window to the lake and listening to the birds in the trees - it was so tranquil. I even saw a hare run across the big lawn.

Wonderful

This was one of the nicest breaks we have ever had. The bedroom/lounge suite was exquisite & so spacious with French windows, balcony with a view of the gardens & lake. Nicolas, our host, was wonderful & it helps that his English is so good. He drove us into St Malo several times (free of charge). The breakfast was excellent, as was the dinner we enjoyed on our last evening.

Cozy stay in charming château

the Chateau was located in the beautiful French countryside but a short drive to the town of Saint Malo. the whole place was charming, welcoming and comfortable. The Director and staff were professional, kind and very accommodating and made sure our stay was wonderful- we loved it! really recommend having dinner in their restaurant, the food was delicious!

Amazing French chateau

Amazing chateau, very beautiful inside as well as outside. The people are also amazing and welcome, make you feel home and relaxed. The restaurant is very nice in the property, there is a Loft as wellend a convenient parking. Breakfast was awesome. Very much recommend, all was top!!

The meat in the restaurant, was toooo hard. For France not nice to serve not good meat ))

Great place to stay but make sure the restaurant is open!

The hotel "Chateau" is a great place to stay and has superb ambiance throughout. The staff are excellent and very helpful and converse great in English too. The breakfast was very good. The grounds are worth exploring and the hotel is only a short drive from the historic town of St Malo. We would definitely stay here again. And... look out for the Red Squirrels!!!

Sadly, the restaurant was closed on the evening we stayed albeit there were plenty of guests but, we all had to eat out e.g. in St Malo. The staff were good and recommended a restaurant. The bed was not comfortable however, this might be a personal preference.

Comfortable stay in a grand country mansion.

Grand old country mansion on a large property. Staff was excellent. Very warm and helpful. Room was comfortable. Had in room espresso maker. Very good restaurant. Breakfast was very good. The grounds are interesting for a walk.

Wi-fi could be better.
