Very good

The location is amazing. The staff is very kind and professional. The access to the sea is exclusive. The view of the sea from the terrace is absolutely fantastic. You can see Portoferraio and Capraia's island. Don't miss the sunsets: awesome!

We do not reccomend this place in case you don't like dogs very much or you are afraid of them. Owners sometimes leave them almost free. Mosquito nets are not on all the windows. The access to the sea is uncomfortable and not for everyone.

A waterfront true gem in the wilderness

Cota Quinta is one of the best findings on booking.com ever! The location is remote but it is one of only few places on the island that are so close to the water. Quiet, wild and a true gem! Built decades ago from movie directors from Rome, it maintains that simple and old fashioned touch. The coast and the access to water is truly spectacular, almost like in a movie. You can get a sun bed and stay in the garden or go close to the water. There is a BBQ, and you have the best view at sunset.

Nothing we didn't enjoy but a few things to watch out for: the road is narrow and it fits only a car, so be careful while driving especially big cars or vans. The WiFi is only at reception, no schuko sockets and the mattresses were very thin with springs. Everything else on the island is at least 30 min via car. Buy groceries before driving to the property and go equipped with bottles of water.

late summer relaxation trip

Very nice location, built directly into the rock, great sea view. Very remote and quiet area. Very friendly host (Gigi), who explained the whole island to us (restaurants, beaches, shopping, wineries, etc.) - great guy! Our apartment was beautiful and well equipped. Nice terrace with table, umbrella, chairs, and free sunset! The nearest public beach is 10 minutes walk away (dogs are allowed).

The only shop nearby was only open one hour a day in mid-September 2022. Access to the "private beach" is very challenging!! (Rock climbing with rope help - a better possibility would be to build a stainless steel staircase into the sea, maybe a future project?!...). A "stupid" small step at the entrance to our apartment that is easy to miss - please mark it, thank you!

Loved Elba, Gigi helps with bags. We left unscathed.

The location at the end of the road along a precipitous cliff face and exceptionally narrow with both suv wing mirrors touching the side drive for over 300 metres at gradients of c.45degrees was worthy of the foothills of the Andes Although with very focussed camera-aided guidance inside our hire car, this neither helped the initial arrival emotions, or the freedom to ‘jump in the car and explore’ what is undoubtedly a fabulous island with loads to experience, both in relation to wonderful beaches (400 metres but a hike) and Napoleonic history less than 10 km away - We had no idea from the host’s description that this would be the case -and would advise guests to hire small cars and also work on their General fitness 👟😉to really appreciate what this exceptional location re offers

Awesome view and well-maintained property. Mind linen charge!

THE VIEW. Pays off for everything. Our Masonnette was facing the sea and you can get to the sea via stairs and some rocks almost without a trouble. Rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable. Owner is nice and friendly.

1. Place charges for linen: 12 eur per person - so add it to the room cost 2. I always feel sad when apartment with kitchen doesn't provide some basic stuff: tea, coffee, salt, oil. Pretty sure many guests have bought it and it feels a bit of a waste to buy a pack of salt for 2 days 3. Wifi is only at the reception - not a big deal, but just in case

Beautiful views , good hosts but isolated

Gigi the host was very helpful. We had some problems with the ac and he right away started to work on it. Very attentive!

Our main problem was our big car. We traveled with our own car GL500 and the road was very tight and narrow. Also the parking possibilities for such a car where not great. I consider myself as a decent driver and I have my car since five years and I managed to bump it twice in that week just driving up the road from Nisporto to Cota Quinta. I suggest to rent a smaller vehicle if you want to stay in this location. Also it is far from everything else , so you really need a car !

The sofa bed was very uncomfortable. In May it's very cold in the room but only a very thin blanket was provided for the night. Only 1 toilet paper roll for 4 nights. The bathroom smelled bad.

Enge Zufahrtstrasse. Für mich nicht weiter problematisch. Aber für Fahranfänger sicherlich ein interessanter Fakt.

Entschleunigen mit kleinen Herausforderungen

Die Lage und Aussicht sind hervorragend. Man hat viel Ruhe und einen eigenen Zugang zum Meer. Dort stehen Liegen zur Verfügung, von denen man wunderbar den Sonnenuntergang genießen kann. Angela und Gigi sind sehr freundlich und geben Tipps zum Erkunden der Insel. Und der Hausmeister Mario ist zudem sehr hilfsbereit.

Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist für größere Autos eine kleine Herausforderung. Der letzte Abschnitt der Straße ist nur so breit wie ein Fahrzeug. Bei Gegenverkehr muss ein Fahrer den Rückwärtsgang einlegen. Der Zugang zum Meer ist über die Felsen und daran befestige Seile nur mit Wasserschuhen sicher und nur für geübte Kletterer und körperlich fitte Urlauber möglich.

Wspaniała lokalizacja, dobrze wyposażony apartament z tarasem z przepięknym widokiem na morze. Cisza i spokój, doskonały relaks z bezpośrednim dostępem do morza. Przed przyjazdem warto zrobić zakupy ponieważ w Nisporto jest jeden mały sklepik, który ma mocno ograniczony asortyment, ale to co najpotrzebniejsze da się kupić. Gospodarz obiektu Gigi miły i bardzo pomocny.

Vi har været familie på 4 afsted (“børn” 17 og 21 år). Vi havde en fantastisk ferie.

Det er et helt unikt sted, med ro og smuk smuk udsigt, natur.

Jeg kunne lide alt, men vil nævne. Stedet er svært at komme til. Og det kræver god mobilitet at færdes på stedet. Mange trapper og mange bakker/bjerge.

Es ist für uns nicht negativ, aber zu beachten. Der Zugang zum Meer ist auf den letzten Metern über Felsen, darum sind Wasserschuhe empfehlenswert.

Außergewöhnlicher Ort für Ruhe und Erholung zu zweit!

Wundervolle Tage an einem außergewöhnlichen Ort! Ruhig und ohne Trubel. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen! Wenn man kurze Wege zu etwas lebendigeren Orten möchte, ist es nicht optimal, denn direkt am Ort gibt es am Strand zwar eine sehr süße Strandbar mit sehr netten Personal, aber diese schließt bereits um 19.30 Uhr. Die Pizzeria am ortsansässigen Campingplatz ist das einzige Restaurant, das fussläufig erreichbar ist. Sonst braucht man immer ein Auto. Uns hat das aber nicht gestört :)

Absolument tout! Quel lieu extraordinaire ! Petite terrasse face à la mer pour des couchers de soleil hors du commun! Endroit calme qui invite au repos! La vue est tout simplement incroyable!

Nous avons tout aimé! Un mini point d'amélioration serait d'offrir sur place des items tels: sucre, huile, sel, papier de toilette puisque l'épicerie la plus proche est à une quinzaine de minutes.
