Lovely place to stay and very welcoming host!

Loved the style and asthetic of the accomodation. Michelle was very friendly and lovely with our puppy, and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be booking again soon

Everything! We stayed in one of the B&B rooms and loved our stay. The room was fully stocked with premium toiletries, a coffee machine with coffee pods, complimentary milk and various sweet treats. The room was very clean and decorated tastefully with bespoke art. The bed was large and very comfortable with premium bedding making sleep comfortable and homely. The breakfast was fantastic. Home baked soda bread every morning, along with fresh fruit and cereals. The cooked breakfast is unbeatable - premium ingredients are sourced from a local farm shop (which I recommend visiting for fab cakes!) and everything on the breakfast plate simply tastes fresh and good quality. The farm itself is wholesome, seeing animals thriving in a sanctuary designed to give them the safe and loving environment they deserve. The location is sublime - we had peace and quiet which was the reason for visiting this site. We had plenty of day trips and there are some excellent pubs nearby by offering great food. Lastly, the hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home the moment we arrived

Perfect B&B Lovely Hosts.

Bonners Lodge B&B is perfect and now at the top of the list of all the B&B's we have visited throughout the UK. We stayed in the Polar Suite which is very tastefully decorated and everything is provided for your comfort. Michelle & Ken are lovely hosts and the breakfast made up from local produce was exceptional. We only wished we had stayed longer but will certainly try and visit again , in the meantime we will highly recommend Bonners Lodge B&B to our friends.

An amazing gem of a place

We had a lovely warm welcome from the hosts & immediately felt comfortable & at home. The rooms were spectacular & the attention to detail was amazing, from the top quality towels to the Denby crockery & beautiful toiletries. Breakfast was delicious, with quality locally sourced ingredients & home made bread. Michelle went the extra mile by ferrying us around - what a lovely lady! We found an absolute gem of a place here & will definitely return if we're back in the area. I would highly recommend Bonners Lodge

The best B&B we have stayed in!

This was undoubtedly the best B&B we have stayed in! Michelle & Ken were wonderful hosts - so friendly and extremely helpful. They had lots of good advice on where to eat out and the best places to visit. Bonners Lodge itself was perfect. Our room was great. It was beautifully decorated and furnished - and equipped with everything you could possibly want. The setting was beautiful and it was great to meet the animals. The breakfast was also superb - such a lovely choice.

The perfect venue to relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside

The location was idyllic, very peaceful with stunning views. Fabulous walks nearby. Parking was available right outside the property. Our room was tastefully decorated with top quality furnishings. The bed was so comfortable! There was an array of lovely toiletries to use, fluffy white towels in our immaculately clean bathroom and bedroom. There was even homemade chocolate brownie! The breakfast was delicious, with locally sourced, top quality ingredients and very generous portions. You certainly don't leave hungry! Michelle was so friendly and helpful, she was the perfect host. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend!

I loved my time at Bonner's Lodge!

Amazing breakfast and a very well-appointed room with lots of thoughtful details. The location is peaceful and away from traffic noise but less than 5 minutes drive from main commuter routes so very convenient. The hosts are so kind and thoughtful and it was lovely to see the animals.

What an amazing place.

The room was exceptional, all the little extras, homemade brownies, coffee bags instead of sachets, lovely fluffy towels in the bathroom, and wonderfully toiletries. Everything was thought of, and Michelle was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Top quality food for breakfast and a really relaxed breakfast room with amazing views of the local countryside. This was proper northern hospitality.

The location just outside Consett is very nice and there are many animals nearby. Our room was clean, comfortably furnished and had a very large, comfortable bed. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and is amply sized if you want. There is also plenty to do for families with children, e.g. a petting corner, alpacas, donkey etc. We give *****.

Exceptional

Michelle is a lovely, welcoming, and attentive host. Nothing was too much trouble. The bedroom and facilities were five star standards. We had grandchildren visiting us for one day. Michelle and her staff were brilliant, walking the donkeys whilst the children were in the saddle. Also, the alpacas and goats were brought out and supervised, allowing safe petting. It's a fantastic B&B in lovely scenic countryside.

A warm and comfortable wonderful Christmas stay

This isn't a home from home, it's so much better than I imagined. A warm welcome and a very comfortable stylish and quirky room, with every detail thought out. From the luxurious toiletries and top notch towels and linens, through to the thoughtful touches like Christmas lights and some cake. Decent tea bags and coffee, fresh milk and excellent breakfast choices. USB charging points in the room too. And the chance to interact with the animals in this peaceful scenic location. I was sad to leave.

A wonderful relaxing and comfortable stay, in a 5* room with a 5* breakfast

The room was so comfortable with so many added extras…homemade chocolate brownies on arrival, an Easter egg for our son, cowshed toiletries, homemade shortbread biscuits on our second day. The location was great, it was wonderful that there were animals there too (goats, a donkey, Shetland pony, horse, alpacas…my son was able to help the owner, Michelle, feed them which he loved).

The setting is just so peaceful and pretty. a complete get away in stunning countryside. Michelle goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect with so many thoughtful touches to make your stay extra comfortable. I stayed in the Polar room which was beautiful. slept so well and the views are lovely. I can’t fault the place 💖

A stay to attend a wedding!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Bonners Lodge. Michelle & Ken were excellent hosts, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean. We loved all of the finishing touches including the home made chocolate brownies and fresh milk for our tea. The breakfast was delicious and the surroundings amazing including the delightful alpacas and the cute little donkey. We will definitely return here.

Michelle & Ken were the most lovely and helpful people we've ever met. They were very kind to drive us to and from the wedding we attended at Derwent Manor. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, it kept us going all day! We will definitely stay again!
