The Old Post Office

Small and personable. Lovely room. Great facilities.

We loved how the rooms were decorated and named to remind travellers that the accommodation was an old post office. We stayed in the Penny Red room and we enjoyed the view over the garden. We loved the owner’s attention to detail and the nice welcoming treats left for us to enjoy - coffee pods, nice selection of teas, home made biscuits and fresh milk. The breakfast was cooked to order and several choices were available. We will definitely be back when visiting family living in the local area.

The property far exceeded our expectations. We booked it following comments on booking.com but it was far nicer than we could have imagined. It was exceptional. Keith (with a very poorly knee) was running it on his own as his wife was away, but with a cleaner coming in. He did all the cooking including baking his own bread. Breakfast was exceptional. Nothing too much trouble. Little touches such as ear plugs, torches and home made biscuits in the room. Lovely walk in shower.

Car parking was a bit hit and miss but usually found somewhere nearby. Apart from that we liked everything.

Very homely and we had everything we could possibly need for our stay - including earplugs!!!
