Parking is a scum

It could have been a nice stay, because we were looking for a place not far from the old town and with parking facilities,at a fair price. So I found out in Q&A that the parking 🅿️ was supposed to be 24 euros/24 hours for B&B customers.At the check in this was confirmed .

Unfortunately ,we were told at the parking place at the Old Port,that we were charged 48 euro/24hours,so no discount applied. What I didn't like was how the manager of the B&B ignore us, I mean you are responsible of a B&B in a Bank Holiday Weekend and ppl can't get in touch with anyone if they need help,(maybe lost sth or left sth inside),we called several times as the Clerk of the Parking suggested us,nobody answered then the telephone was switched off.So we had to leave and paid the full amount. After chatting trough booking,and trying to put the fault on us like : you should have said u stayed hier,which was the first thing we underlined to the employee,I asked him for a refund. So after a few days I got in touch again on the phone and said there had been some malfunction in the Parking and the number plate car had not been registered by their system.First if he had not ignored our call (at our arrival we had called him also),we could have paid the reduced parking ticket,second he should give us a refund,as indicated in Booking the sum is 24 euros,and is not a guest problem who belongs the Parking,as he said he 's not the Owner,but eventually he could reclaim from the Council, especially because it could happen everyday with others guest, which is a big disadvantage for the facility.He told us in the end is a "Courtesy"for his guests,but is Not! Because is a big Plus you have as a B&B to write there is a Parking Place at a fair price,infact we choose it for this reason!!

The host was kind, the room itself was spacious, and Netflix was available on the TV.

The location —> The street it is located on feels unsafe, dirty, and is very loud at night. It was difficult to locate, instructions would be appreciated. There is a black metal gate you have to walk through and then buzz the B&B for him to unlock the door. When you walk in you’ll take the stairs and wait for him to come get you on the elevator. The building it was in seemed abandoned and old.

The locacation and the welcome fromm the host was exceptional.

Our host was excellent, giving us tips on the best restaurants and sights to see in the old town. Location was great, with everything within walking distance, the room was clean and tidy.

Teenage daughter did not like that the bathroom was separate.

The location, it is easy to walk to everything and great parking nearby. The host was informative, and the apartment was very clean. The individual breakfast baskets were very generously filled.

We just found the bed a bit too firm for us.

Lovely Apartment, the Host Maurizio could not have been more welcoming and gave us loads of useful information about Genoa, restaurants etc. Please be aware he also has an arrangement with the Porto Antico underground car park which means cheaper parking for guests. Speak to him on arrival to get your ticket verified.

Unfortunately due to a family issue we had to cut our holiday short so could not tour the City as planned. Our initial and very short impression of the Old Port area however were not great, very noisy and busy and expensive restaurants on the Harbour.

Staying in the heart of Genova❤️

Perfect location, excellent and clean accomodation and the host - wow, he was so passionate when talking about the region🤗 It was pleasure seeing someone so in love with this place❤️ He gave us very useful tips about Genova, Canogli, Dan Fruttuoso and Portofino. Due to some misunderstanding we would have missed the train to Milan, but our host made his best and we managed to get on the train just on time. This man stole our hearts and we would definitele visit him again👌 Recommend it 100%

Clean, peacefull, fair breakfast (dont expect a full hotel breakfast, but it's fair for a traveler). The place has 3 room to rent, ours had a private bathroom, I think the other two share a bathroom on the hallway.

Very convenient location for lots of the touristy spots. A super friendly host who is very passionate about his home city and is more than happy to recommend real Italian restaurants to cater to your taste! Very fair price, the air conditioning was a life saver.

we tried to cancel our reservation when understood that this was not hotel, but it was impossible. After staying for one

close to aquarium, there are kitchen with necessary dish.

1.There was cold, blanket was thin and a little bit dirty, we understood we will be cold. 2.To find this apartment was very hard. 3. The owner is nice.

Very nice room on the 6-th floor of an ancient building just in the historical heart of Genua. Well furnished with charming mixture of new and old furniture. We had very warm welcome by the host who was extremely polite and helpful. We had breakfast including coffee and tea, jam, waffles and biscuits. We used paid parking just opposite the building and were given additional discount ticket.

Reasonably priced, adequate lodging. plan on getting your own breakfast as what is provided is inadequate.

The location is convenient to the harbor area and maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the train station. It is right off the main road by the wharf and picks up a lot of road noise. On Friday night, there were people partying late in the alleyway below which added to the noise, so take earplugs. The breakfast was nothing more than instant coffee and a box full of carbs. Nothing healthy about it. Hard boiled eggs, and some yogurt would have been appreciated

Immaculate!

The host welcomed us upon our arrival and made us feel so welcome! What a nice guy! The accommodation was super clean and neat! Kitchen all newly done. A lot of thought and planning went into creating the units to be immaculate! Well done host!

Granted...it is the "old town"...it takes time to get used to your environment.

Felt like a local

The location was perfect for the aquarium and waterfront. We had the use of a kitchen (can't cook in it but can eat takeaways, refill water bottles, microwave, coffee machine) and bathroom (not on-suite) so it felt like a little apartment, not B & B, and a taste of living like a local. The owner, Maurizio, was helpful with tourist information. The air conditioner was very welcome in the hot weather.

we could not check in earlier nor leave our luggage as Maurizio is not always on site. The noise did not bother us but there is a lot of traffic noise, neighbours & sirens.

We slept here for the 2nd time during our roadtrip, and we arrived there pretty late. The guy managed to arrange that the keys were delivered us on a pretty late arrival, even some hours after check-in. This is a big plus!

The owner of the aparment was extremely flexible with us, we arrived later when expected, and there was no problem.

When we arrived, I did not now that the flat is on the 6th floor. Parking is available in garage "Park Marina Porto Antico", but I was not informed about it before arrival. However we got a discount ticket, but it turned out that discount ticket is only valid when you park more than 24 hours. Street parking is very hard, so it is the easyest way to go to the garage before arrival.

The location of the hotel is amazing (5mins by walk from the city center). The rooms and toilets are very clean and typical italian style. The breakfast is available all day long because the host is very flexible and all he cares about is for his guests to have the best stress-free time in genoa. The best part of the hotel is probably the host: Maurrizio. He loves his city so much and he is so proud of it that he communicates this love to the guests. He gave us amazing advice on restaurants, shops and things to see in genoa. He is also very flexible, and accommodated our late check out request, and let us keep the baggages in the hotel. For every problem you have in genoa, Maurrizio has a solution.
