A great value and best impression

The hotel was really cozy in a charming location in the mountains. On the photo, you can see a real breakfast view. The hotel manager Claudia was highly helpful, you can approach her with any questions about the facilities nearby. What was especially pleasant bonus is summer card (Sommercard) that gave free entry to many locations, for example we took cable car to Weisssee, drove high alpine road Glocklockner and went to Krimml waterfalls for free.

Exceptional

I really enjoyed my stay at Sportpension Thayer. Traditional Austrian guesthouse, clean, quiet, cozy. Very friendly and helpful owners. Easy access and good parking. Ideal location for visiting both turistic resorts (Zell am See, Kaprun). And a wonderful view of the glacier panorama.

We had booked a 4person room for the two of us, because that was the only room still available. But at arriving we got an upgrade to a very nice big apartment with a really good bed and a stunning view. It is a great place to stay on walking distance from Kaprun and the Taurn Spa and with an amazing view on the “Kitzsteinhorn” and the “Maiskogel”. The Bus stop is next to the house. And we were at the Arreit Express within 10 min. Just don’t forget to tell your bus driver in person to STOP at “Fürt-Kaprun Bahnhof” on the way back. The sauna in the hotel was a nice treat after a full day skiing. The owner Claudia is an AMAZING host!! At the last day my partner lost her phone. When we came back Claudia told her to take a shower while she made a few phone calls to the tourist-office, busstation, skilift company, police station etc. And believe it or not but one hour later she had found it and one of her friends drove over to bring it because we had to catch or train home. This woman is really amazing! She saved our trip and made our day! We will definitely come back here next time we come to Zell am See!!

The owner Mr & Msr Thayer, they were welcoming & keen to give advice & recommendations for attraction around The property style and furnitures give cozy & worm stay with nice & well prepared garden to relax. Realy my wife & me enjoyed our stay. Parking Location between main cities Zell am see & kaprun.

Great location: close to the mountains, cable car, not far from the lake... Big and beautiful garden with a playground. Very clean rooms. Very nice & (kids) friendly host family.

Nagyon kedves vendéglátók.

A reggeliből hiányoltam a főtt ételeket, rántottát, virslit, főttojást, de azért választékos volt és bőséges. Kérésre készítettek nekünk ham and eggs-et is. A szoba megfelelő nagyságú, az ágyak kényelmesek és a zuhanyzó is.

Sajnos vacsorázási lehetőség nincs a szálláson, azt csak a közeli éttermekben lehet megoldani. A szobából hiányzott egy hűtőszekrény.

Nádherné ubytování s dechberoucím výhledem na hory a skvělou snídaní.

Ubytování je v nádherné lokalitě přímo pod horami. Přivítala nás usměvavá paní, která nám se vším poradila a dala skvělé tipy na výlety po okolí. Pokoj byl čistý, velký a spalo se nám moc dobře. V ceně byla i snídaně, která byla úžasná. Měli jsme dokonce i skvělou domácí bábovku.

Vše bylo naprosto skvělé. Možná by mohla být na pokoji lednice, ale to už je jen maličkost. Nemám žádné výtky a určitě sem pojedu rád znovu.

Fantastico

Innanzitutto abbiamo viaggiato con nostra figlia piccola e posso dire che ero tranquilla a farla gattonare nella moquette perché pulita.. la camera stupenda con terrazzo e i fiori.. letti e cuscini morbidi. Bagno carino e pulito. Colazione fantastica consiglio marmellata di kiwi ( fatta in casa con il miele). Posizione perfetta vicino ai centri. Accoglienza eccezionale.

Ein Aufenthalt zum Wohlfühlen...

Wir verbrachten eine schöne Woche im Juli 2025 in der Sportpension Thayer. Wir haben die herzliche Art von Frau Thayer sehr geschätzt und den schönen Aufenthalt genossen. Frau Thayer war stets sehr hilfsbereit, z.B. als wir wetterbedingt mehr Indoor-Programmpunkte benötigten als erwartet… auch ihre Empfehlungen, für bestimmte Outdoor-Aktivitäten ein paar Tage zu warten, waren genau richtig – das Wetter wurde tatsächlich besser. Das Frühstücksbuffet war umfangreich und immer frisch, und Eier wurden nach Wunsch frisch zubereitet. Jeden Morgen war das Buffet etwas anders, und immer mit selbstgebackenem Kuchen. Die selbstgemachte Kiwi-Marmelade hat die ganze Familie besonders beeindruckt! Die Zimmer und das Haus sind liebevoll eingerichtet, und unserer Tochter hat der große Garten mit Trampolin sehr gut gefallen. In der Umgebung gibt es viel zu erkunden, und wir haben vieles noch nicht gesehen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr freundliche und entgegenkommende Gastgeber, bestmögliche Begleitung des Aufenthaltes. Sehr gepflegte, familiäre Atmosphäre im Quartier, liebevoll gestaltete Einrichtung des Hauses und des Zimmers. Reichhaltiges, köstliches Frühstück.
