Stunning traditional Balinese style villa. Location was perfect, close enough to the main Seminyak streets, but also tucked far enough away from the noise of traffic, restaurants and clubs. Ideal.

Everything was what I expected with in reason. the place was clean and nice, the staff are very nice also. the kitchen reminded me of been back in France,

The Blue bedroom, had a bad smell of damp and mould, I am please I was not sharing the villa with another couple, we used the blueroom for our suitcases.

Open space ,mosquitoes we bad although providing deterrent protection- very dark and pretty hot even with fans & aircons - shutters open but no flatscreen to prevent animals or mosquitoes

A very special retreat that would be perfect for a family group or a friend’s group reunion.

Such a beautiful villa that felt like a real home. Amazing amount of space both indoor and outside with a very large pool. Very private and quiet away from the busy traffic and crowds as the villas are down a long private driveway with gardens all around.

It would have been nice to have on site eatery for breakfast. There was an order in menu available however. A little bit of walking to get to the main shopping area.

The asthetic of the Desu Villa in Seminyak was stunning. The service was lovely, we loved the turn down service and kind host. We loved the privacy at the villa.

There were mosquitos in the afternoon and evening - so when shutting all the doors to avoid mosquitos, it got quite warm inside - the bedrooms were a good temperature but the living area was very warm.

Fabulous villa near Seminyak town

If you are thinking about booking this villa - do not hesitate! We were in the round house and it was absolutely amazing. Well equipped and spacious living and kitchen area. Huge comfortable sofas and although it is open, there are fans to keep you cool. Two of the bedrooms are on the main building and both adjoin to a huge bathroom. The other bedroom is separate, again with a large bathroom with outside shower. Beds were super comfortable. There is a large covered chill out area in the garden. Pool is a decent size and warm water but still refreshing. The whole place is filled with beautiful, traditional Balinese furniture and fittings and decorated in beautiful colours. It was a joy spending time there. It is a little walk into Seminyak but taxi bikes are plentiful. There is a lovely little cafe about a 5 minute walk away that serves nice food. Overall, this place is super value for money and a really lovely place to stay.

Perfect.

Just lovely - perfect for a 3 couple reunion. The ambience is as the pictures depict. The bathrooms in each of the 3 rooms are particularly enticing - all unique, yet each as beautiful as the next. And the pool is a decent size - I think it was about 10m. All bedrooms are air-conditioned. The beautiful decor and furnishings - everything was so beautifully planned.

The lounge was extremely hot during the time we were there, though that did add to the appeal of the pool. The bathroom we were in had a lock that was slightly stuck and it took ages to figure it out, so we didn't lock our bathroom again for fear of being locked in. The socket behind the bed was out of the wall, so that seemed a bit dangerous, so we didn't touch it even though it had the adaptor for extra plugs. So slight maintenance is needed.

A must stay for a boutique villa

boutique and great value for money. A little haven tucked away but really close to Seminyak attractions (mrs sippy etc)

Great Location, Wonderful Stay

Our stay at the Island Houses (White Villa) was incredible. The staff were very friendly and always available if we needed and so kind to us and our daughter It is in a very quiet location but so close to all the hustle and bustle of Seminyak - such a great location. It felt very private at the end of a long driveway, and in the evenings there is security at the gate - a lovely gentleman to keep an eye on things. The villa is so beautiful and uniquely furnished, we loved it. So handy to be able to WhatsApp with Cafe Bali and have so many yummy dishes delivered to our villa. Also super handy to order anything from Gojek. There is also really good coffee places that only take a few mins to walk to and a couple of 24hr minimarts as well. We had our laundry picked up and delivered back to us (same day!) by Lucky Laundry. So cheap as well.

It was hot when we visited Bali, and while the bedrooms are air-conditioned really well, the main living area has no AC, so it was a bit uncomfortable to sit in the living area. The windows/doors don't have flyscreens, so we preferred not to leave them open to avoid mosquito problems. There was fans in the living room however. It would be great if airconditioning was installed in the living room!

The location could not have been more perfect situated in a beautiful long sone tiled lane with the other 5 Island houses. The most divine coffee and food (fave was the brioche French toast) a one min stroll away you didn't have to go near the Main Street....place was just called coffee. Desa house was absolutely beautiful exactly as the images show.

Nice and memorable for leasure trip

Fancy design and great interior. All staff are good and helpful during our stay. The kitchen has everything that we need.

The aircon is not working properly, a lot mosquitoes especially during the day and the lighting in the bedroom is too dark.

No air conditioning in the main room so quite warm most of the time. Wifi not working every other day. A big construction project was going on right over our heads that started every day at 7:00am and which we were not informed about in advance of our visit.
