About this cottage rental
With the Yorkshire Wolds, North York Moors National Park and Yorkshire Coastline on our doorstep and ancient York less than an hour away, our location can’t be beaten for exploring this stunning county.
Our self-catering cottage is converted from the original farm hand’s cottage and has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We have retained many pretty, original features but installed modern facilities throughout. It is cosy in winter with a log burner in the sitting room and a sunny conservatory which leads into the garden. There is also a dining room with range and a well equipped kitchen.
The cottage can sleep up to 6 people but is also ideal for smaller groups. We welcome 1 dog and children over 7. From £150 per night.

This is a really comfortable farmhouse, full of character and with everything you would need.
It is in a great location tucked away in glorious rolling countryside but easy to drive to the coast and Filey.

The cottage is very spacious, especially the bedrooms and bathrooms, with original features and is in a great location, with easy access to the coast. Owner was helpful and on hand but not at all intrusive. We had a lovely stay.
Dog owners should be aware that the garden is not secure.
If I’m being picky, I wouldn’t say the kitchen is ‘well-equipped’ as the listing description says and it’s doesn’t mention that the garden is shared with the owner who lives in the other half of the house. The kitchen, decor and furnishings are a bit old and tired. None of these things mattered to us and for the price we were happy.
There is an adjoining single storey building and I’m not sure what this is used for, but people seemed to go in and out of it late at night and early in the morning. The noise alerted our dog who’d bark, as it sounds like someone is in the house due to there being an internal door to this building, not a solid wall. Again, not an issue, just something for dog owners to be aware of.

We had an amazing stay, property was outstanding and in a beautiful, peaceful and scenic part of the country.It was close to Filey and Scarborough so made a great holiday cottage for our family and our dog.Very clean, extremely spacious with everything we needed and are very likely to return in the future.
