Argo Guest House

The breakfast was huge and delicious, lovingly made by the kind staff every morning. It was definitely the highlight of my stay! Also, my room was cleaned every day, which is very rare for guest houses in this country. The location is a bit further away from the town center. But the Arzym restaurant with a supermarket underneath it and Moka coffee shop nearby really make up for it.

It's located about 30 minutes walk away from the city center. It's fine if you plan to drive or take taxis. But it does get tiring walking in the heat on dirt roads. I stayed for three nights and was put in the side house on the ground floor. My room was simple and a bit rustic but everything worked. The rooms in the main house look much better from the pictures.

This accommodation is situated in a quiet part of Karakol, surrounded by many countryside houses, offering an authentic country life experience. While it's a 30-minute walk from main sights like the Dungan mosque and the market where all the buses stop, there is a nice restaurant, Arzym, nearby. The staff are super friendly, and the breakfast is huge and exceptional. It kept me alive when I got sick. My room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and I also had access to a common room. I could choose between a room with a king-size bed or one with twin beds. The room is cleaned every day. Although I was sick for most of my stay, I really enjoyed this place!

Just because of the lady who works there named Almeria, the place gets a score of 10. Always with a smile in the morning. The breakfasts are excellent. The place is well maintained, clean, organized, hot water, quiet and green from the hustle and bustle. There is a huge supermarket right across the main road. A little far from the center. But there is public transportation No. 102 at a funny price.
