Ketapang Indah Hotel

This is a great beach‑side resort in Banyuwangi. The sprawling tropical garden is absolutely stunning, filled with tall coconut palms, lush lawns and local fruit‑bearing trees. The huge infinity pool faces the sea, with direct access to the black‑sand beach and wooden pier, offering splendid ocean views across the strait. Rooms are clean and practical, simple but well‑maintained. The resort has spacious bungalow‑style villas scattered within the garden grounds. On‑site restaurant serves tasty local and western dishes. Staff are friendly and helpful. At around 100 USD per night, it delivers outstanding value for money. Perfect base for exploring Ijen Crater, ideal for unwinding before or after your volcano hike.

Some buildings show slight signs of age. The adjacent beach is black volcanic sand, not ideal for swimming.

This hotel is superb. Everything is fantastic, from the friendly, polite and helpful staff to the excellent quality of the cottages, the delicious food in the restaurant, and the beautiful and well kept grounds with a lovely view across the water to Bali. A special thanks to Shelia and Ahmao at reception, and to Malta and all the other staff in the restaurant. Outstanding! 🙏😃

It was very clean and comfortable. Professionally run with excellent facilities. Breakfast was expansive. Room had good fridge and aircon and was large. Bed was great. Pool was huge. Lots of hot water.

I'm not really a resort person but it looked like the best accommodation close to ferry. It is popular and therefore a lot of people walking the paths around the bungalows so not a lot of privacy. Breakfast was very busy. If you leave it later it's better. One thing they could change but I guess it's hard to stop people taking advantage.....if you want to spend time on the little terrace outside you have to use the key card so turning off power.. so no aircon or phone charging etc. You can only lock door not close it. It just swings open otherwise.

The gardens and grounds are lovely with nice vegetation. The breakfast was very good The view to Bali also nice when eating breakfast

Pop style music way too loud in the dining area while trying to eat dinner. Unfortunately there was a school sport group there as we booked in a weekend and they were extremely noisy set up right next to the lovely pool with loud speakers and teachers continually yelling into them and loud awful music and kitschy adds with kiddy voices . We didn’t use the pool which is a shame as it was a horrible ongoing noise. Also at breakfast we didn’t sit outside due to the awful loudspeakers with horrible music adds and people yelling out into the speakers We ended up staying only one night and moving on with our travels earlier than expected The room was quite dank and the bathroom door didn’t shut and the exhaust fan ran in the bathroom all night and the air con was very noisy also
