There was not much we liked about the property. Ours was Anak Arun. The concrete walls that were not even polished concrete made us feel like we were sleeping in someone’s garage. Bare minimum furniture. No comforts.
The resort is very spread out but the restaurants were excellent. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. They added us to a WA group where we could book things and make enquiries.
The spa was fabulous and great value for money.
It was too spread out and although there was a shuttle available it took too long to get anywhere.
No shade in the main pool in the afternoon when we went for a swim so we couldn’t stay to relax.
Gym was a good 15 mins walk and only free weights available and one fan, no AC.
Paddle courts were a 10 minute drive away.
We did not think our accommodation was good value for money. I expected a lot more for what we paid and although fresh towels and cleaning was all available at no extra charge you had to ask for it.
The steps down to our accommodation need maintainance and when it rained we walked through mucky puddles on the steps. The outside of the villa is not paved, just soil with no mat inside the door to wipe feet. Lots of leaves and the area not swept.

The views were beautiful and the added touch of flowers in the Villa
But when we arrived the outside are was very dirty and the outdoor bathroom full of ants and flying beetles and mosquitoes. We were told to only ask if we wanted cleaning but every day the whole inside was covered in flying beetles
Cleaning
Sort out bug problem inside I live in Bali so understand mosquitoes

It was in a good location where there was not a draft of constant smoke. Lots of shade.
I would like if someone let me know the times that the sprinklers were set and when the workers would be there to water the grass.

We liked the largely private pool adjacent to our room . And the yoga studio was quite stunning. Loved the views and the cool breeze .
It was kind of strange having the facilities so spread out , we didn’t even find the main pool until we were checking out!

Difficult to access for grabs/taxis.

This property is unique, and the villas are beautiful.
Food was just ok, there’s not much options to eat elsewhere around the property. The resort setup is a bit weird. Feels like we have to call for shuttle to just go to the restaurant.

Our villa was very comfy with amazing views. Good restaurants on the premises. Friendly service. Good massage.
The matras and pillows can be bit better

Amazing view and lovely pool. Great restaurants on site. Very relaxing.
Showed guy the gecko poo on the floor of my expensive villa and he said yes they live in the roof. No suggestion anyone would clean it up: so if you don’t mind cleaning up after the giant geckos this is place for you!

Absolutely stunning place. The views were beautiful, food and restaurant staff fabulous, shuttle service convenient for transfers to diving and snorkelling place. The diving was brilliant too.
The only complaint we have is the villas we were in ( Kesambi 3 and 4) were quite noisy ( 5 am call to prayer) and motorbikes from 5.30 am. We will definitely come back but would chose a different villa or room further up into the resort. That being said we got used to the 5am call to prayer and it didn’t bother us that much in the end..

Just incredible! Everything about the place is amazing - golf buggies to transport you around the site and yo another local restaurant in town, the delicious and ambient restaurants, the artisan lobby and the peaceful health spa. And the villas are breathtaking. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff - simply incredible value for the level of luxury and beauty and serenity at this special place.

The view was great. You were up on the side of the mountain with pretty views of Ijan volcano and the valley. SO PRETTY!
Couldn't see the ocean but that's alright.

Incredible views all around the site, villa was beautiful and clean and really great food at both restaurants - we particularly loved Senja. Perfect place for completely relaxing.

I booked this place, because the hotel is very good at its marketing. Place looks amazing and in real life, the villas indeed look nice, the nature is stunning and it's a huge complex tucked away in a relaxing area.
Everything was ok, but nothing stood out to me, to be honest. Food is ok, but not special. Staff is friendly, but not over the moon like in most places. The villas are good, but nothing memorable.
When I checked in, it was very hot in the villa. I turned on the ac, went for diner, came back in the villa... and it was still too hot. for some reason, the AC kept turning off every 30 minutes, making it impossible to sleep. I informed the staff, they send somebody to fix it, the technician said it was fixed, but it still kept turning off every 30 minutes. 4 times, somebody came to fix it, the problem was never solved. I had to move the matrass to the living room to get some sleep (ac in the living room worked normal). They offered me a free massage for the inconvenience, but that ended up being only words.
Internet was very slow, only 2 mb/sec on the 1st night and that was around midnight when probably nobody else was using it. 2nd night, it was only 500kb/sec. 3th & 4th day it was even out for multiple hours, which is a nightmare as a digital nomad. Absolute unacceptable for a 4star resort. I've been traveling through Asia for 3 years now, and I've never experienced such a bad internet, not even in remote places like Borneo or Raja Ampat.
No amenities. Toothbrush costs 25.000 IDR

facilities, the view, ability to fully relax in privacy.
Overly remote without own transportation. little cultural experiences in the surrounding, very focused on diving and snorkeling.
western restaurant was mediocre

Staff, food and setting. The hike and snorkelling tour were also big highlights.
There were no bedside lights on each side of the bed so the main Villa lights had to be on when reading.
All experiences were designed for couples or families so they were much more expensive for singles.

We will come back… for the comfortable villas and amazing views from all swimming-pools.
We will hesitate to come back… due to the lack of reactivity of the staff, not at premium standards. Ex. breakfast restaurant service was always extremely long (even when ordering it in our room) Ex. Long and not tailor made check-out when leaving early in the morning.

I stayed in Asmara 2. The villa is amazing and very spacious. Everything is very clean and it is furnished even if you would like to cook yourself. I love the level of privacy it has and the respect for privacy the staff has. They sent me a message asking if it was ok for someone to film with a drone the vicinity around the villa. Thank you for being considerate in asking. Also the pool is amazing as well as the view. It is perfect for morning yoga and so peaceful and relaxing to the eyes and sit around in the afternoon reading your book or just swimming enjlying the view. The yoga sessions are also amazing and their location so great. The staff is very kind and accommodating. It was such a great place to stay in i highly recommend the villa.
Too many ants!😅 the bathroom in nature is very nice but ants get into everything even your tooth brush. Not sure how this can be managed to reduce them:) also too many mosquitos i would recommend to place something additional to the mosquito net at least in the bedroom to keep them away, the smell or mosquito spray or cream. The public pools can be improved with better seating space and benches with matts. Not sure if there are bathroom facilities next to them but it didn't seem like it and that also can be useful. Extending also restaurant service to the pool would be nice. The bed mattress is a little hard can be smoother and the pillows can be thinner to avoid neck bending too much while sleeping :)

We spent 3 nights here and could have spent longer, the views were stunning, pools and leisure facilities were brilliant and the food and massages were wonderful and very reasonably priced. We also enjoyed the activities on offer. The staff were very accommodating and helpful.

We stayed 3 nights with a family of 5 in Nandini villa. Sumberkima Hill is stunningly beautiful. it is very secluded and we had a very private villa with amazing views, a (cold) pool and the nature is just incredible. Flowers and lush gardens everywhere. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The communal pools are very pretty and not crowded.
The beds were very comfortable and the outside bathrooms great (good showers!)
They added us to a villa groupchat on WA and everything was communicated through it and all requested were promptly met. Great service!
The resort is far away from everything so you basically have to have all your meals on site at one of the 2 restaurants. And although the staff was superfriendly and the views amazing, the food was good but not that great (a bit bland) and above all: inconsistent in quality. The coffees (flat whites) were really bad! So despite loving the surroundings (the nature and views are unparalleled) we didn’t mind leaving after 3 days as great food is very important to us.

Absolutely stunning village. Unique, individual cottages that are thoughtfully nestled into the hill sides that compliment the surrounds. non- intrusive and so thoughtfully designed. Amazing reef regeneration program as well as working with local community. We loved Sumberkima Hill - with the dramatic Javanese volcanoes in the background.

Beautiful and quiet stay at Sumberkima. Our Villa was well equipped and came as advertised. The best thing about it was the exceptional panoramic views. Restaurants and spa were lovely.

Incredible view, beautiful grounds, comfy bed, strong aircon, just all around a really great place. Very accommodating staff. And super organized especially by Bali standards, very responsive and quick to help us with whatever we needed.
Our room, Luwih 2, was right below the yoga shala, and there was a teacher training going on. One morning they were bumping music with strong bass and chanting at 645am. Way too loud for that early. But we told the reception and they made sure the next day was quieter. So just a heads up that you might want to talk to reception if there's some yoga training going on to make sure this doesn't happen in advance.
