The best place to stay in Bali 🙌🏼

ABSOLUTELY 10000% recommend! My partner and I wanted to visite the north side of the island and found this hidden gem. The owner (kadek)and everyone we met along the way are exceptionally kind, welcoming people. Felt right at home and felt like being part of a family absolutely amazing We actually extended twice and a few weeks later when I left Bali to go on a 10 day girls trip, my partner booked a few more nights there and loved it. We Made new friends plus we have unforgettable memories ☺️ ❤️ we will miss you guys !!!

Nothing at all ! Honestly everyone was kind the facilities where perfect the mattress very good 😊 and plus they have a very nice cat that we liked to call Ginette hahahahahahah ( that’s not her name ) and a very nice dog. It’s not cramped since the property is spacious with beautiful fruit trees everywhere. Aa and also Breakfast was delicious! the omelette 🙌🏼🙌🏼 10/10 🤩Only good vibes ✌🏼

Can’t expect too much considering how cheap it is, but just don’t be prepared for comfort.

We had a functional Kitchen and fridge that we were kindly granted access to. We were also kindly given fresh fruit from the trees on multiple occasions. I also shared some good memories sipping alcohol with the male owner one night.

The room was quite unclean from the beginning. We found multiple bugs and ants in our room during our stay. As well as, a bar of soap was left behind from the previous person (bathroom was not cleaned). The room also stays incredible hot, we opted for a room without an aircon and this was a huge mistake. Especially as the only PowerPoint in the room was used for the fan, so it was impossible to juggle charging devices and keeping the room cool.

After 1 week in the Homestay Sedap Malam, we recommend this family place. The rooms are clean. The owners are adorable and always there to help you. So much service are avaible (laundry, scooter, breakfast)

The host and his Family are very very friendly and welcoming! The location was very good, although I kept missing the little street when approaching from the main street 😅 - but you kinda need a scooter to get around i think. The owner even climbed the tree to get us a pomelo :) On the last evening they went with us to a very nice Warung nearby. We ended up booking the dolphin tour with the homestay - it was nice, but there are many boats out there. Breakfast was alright and there are some really cute puppys playing in the garden :)

Not really with the homestay itself, but there is a grumpy German neighbour and as we left we were passing him on the little street and he shouted some German slurs at us for no apparent reason 🤔

honestly I’m quite confused by the glowing reviews. we had driven quite a way and we’re visibly wet from a storm we had been caught up in. There was no warm reception or welcome from the staff, just an uninterested point towards a room. They were however, quick to jump onto us to see if we wanted to swim with the dolphins and to only book through them. We’d barely put our bags down and they were being incredibly pushy. They told us breakfast was between 9-12, very bizarre timings and when they got the impression we had booked dolphins elsewhere they refused to serve us breakfast any earlier. When my partner insisted we weren’t going to see dolphins we just wanted to get going they reluctantly agreed. It seems if you are willing to spend money with them you may receive a better reception, but it wasn’t the case for us. Would not return or recommend.

Lovely homestay in an excellent location. The breakfast and coffee were very nice. Run by a warm and helpful family, can't beat the price.

The shower was cold and we had to provide our own drinking water. Could be nice to have a place to refill our water bottles and reduce plastic waste.

The owners will go out of there way for you. Definitely one of the nicest stays I had in Bali. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Lovina. Perfect location to see the dolphins.

The best thing about this homestay are definitely Kadek and his family. Super friendly and welcoming people that help you so much and really make you feel part of the family. Amazing food, beautiful location and fun town. Definitely ask Kadek for help with booking activities and transport, he makes sure you pay the best price and knows the best and most friendly people. Had a very pleasant stay. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with smiles and yummy tea. We felt so comfortable and cared for. Real family vibe. Had the loveliest group dinner for Christmas and really appreciated the daily breakfast and nightly karaoke. One of my favorite places I’ve stayed in 6 months if traveling!

The owner of the homestay and his family and friends were very kind and a lot of fun. We had dinner with them where they put their freshly caught fish on the bbq, it was delicious and they didn't even charge us for it!! The homestay has a beautiful garden and it's quiet since it is not on the main road. Comfy bed and a lot of space! Breakfast was so good!! And the snorkling was beautiful.

It would be nice to have a sink in the bathroom, although there was one outside. We booked a dolphin tour without looking up on it before and it turned out to be not eco friendly.. dolphins were being chased by 10+ boats including ours. It would be good if there was more awareness, so that in the future these tours wouldn't harm the dolphins and be more eco friendly.

Would not stay anywhere else in Lovina.

Everything! We got there a bit early but the room was ready, the room was clean and spacious. We put our stuff down and went to the bar with the owner Kadek. As soon as we sat down he was climbing a tree to get us some fresh fruit. Him and his family were very hospitable. He organised all the tours we wanted through his friends so they were at very good prices, he also organised our transfer to Ubud on which we also had a mini tour of waterfalls and sights on the way there. I could speak for a long time on how much I recommend this home stay but I don’t think I have enough characters here. 10/10

It is the best quality/price you can find in Lovina. The owners are amazing, they helped us with everything while we were there. We did the dolphins tour with them, rented motorbike, got taxi to and from there, laundry, everything you need in one place! Also, they placed us in a better room that what we paid for (without charging extra) and that was amazing considering that the “better” room has a normal toilet and not one in the floor like the cheaper room.

You don’t have hot shower there, but it is a common thing in Bali, and the water is not so cold so it is fine

I loved Lovina and my stay at this home stay !

I had a wonderful stay with the hosts who are really nice. There are some activities proposed like the famous dolphin cruise, Balinese cooking classes, temple visits, etc. It is possible to rent motorcycles. There are also coconuts and pomelos in the garden! The atmosphere is warm, the evenings are lively: the place is perfect for backpackers looking for meetings and good advice.

If your priority is only comfort, you should know that the rooms are quite sober and simple.

There was a kitchen you can use to cook, the hosts were very nice ! There are different priced rooms, we picked the budget room. We got a nice breakfast and tea in the morning. Some lovely coconuts also!

the location was tricky to find, when we arrived I realised the budget room was cold water shower only which was annoying. there was no warm water in the budget room shower, the room was very outdated and the bed was t very comfy but with the cheap price I couldn’t complain.

Beautiful homestay

The nicest people I met in my whole stay in bali. A lot of possibilities to do, ask the owners (offering massage, laundry, dolphin tours, fishing tours, taxi and big waterbottles at a cheaper price than usual). I had an amazing time here with my personal highlight grilling in the evening with the owners family and friends, drinking and laughing. I'd recommend coming here very much.

If you have any inconveniences during your stay at all, just ask the owners and they will help you out to make your stay as you'd like it to be. Tip: don't go to the nearest beach, try going a bit farther (10-15mins walk) because the beach right next to the homestay is pretty littered and not as good to lay down etc.

Bon rapport qualité prix. Chambre économique suffisante pour petit budget.

Pour le prix demandé, le service était très bon. Chambre double avec salle de bain privative et climatisation. Endroit calme, en retrait de la rue principale. Fenêtre occultée par un vrai rideau opaque, agréable si la lumière vous gêne pour dormir.

Petit déjeuner très simple (un café et un pancake) La chambre est un peu vétuste, et mériterait d'être légèrement remodelée. La salle de bain était très basique et un peu sale.

Séjour mitigé : chambre peu confortable et accueil un peu distant

Le matin, j’ai eu la chance de rencontrer un monsieur très agréable qui m’a servi de taxi pour aller observer les dauphins, ce qui a vraiment rattrapé un peu le début de mon séjour.

L’accueil initial n’était pas très chaleureux, un peu nonchalant, peut-être à cause de mon arrivée tardive. La chambre a été préparé sous mes yeux alors que j'avais réservé la veille, la salle de bain laissait à désirer et il y avait des chats qui pouvaient entrer à n’importe quel moment, ce qui m’a un peu dérangée. De plus, il n’y avait qu’une seule prise électrique pour toute la chambre, réservée au ventilateur, ce qui limitait le confort.
