Taman Rahasia Tropical Sanctuary and Spa

Everything is clean and it looks like you are in your own little rainforest. It is very accessible by car or bike. Amazing breakfast and very helpful staff!

The rooms at Taman Rahasia are large, and have large bathrooms and balconies or sit-outs. Quirky and tastefully decorated with statues, plants and flowers, we enjoyed our three nights there. It was the first place we stayed that had thoughtfully provided a multiple charging point, and lots of hanging points and storage in the bathroom. Also enough filtered water to last our entire stay. Small details like this make a big difference. The place is in a quiet lane, a away from the over-touristed heart of Ubud. Breakfast is delicious: we would recommend the Balinese coffee, the Balinese french toast and Mie Goreng. It also has a nice spa with affordable and good massages. The hosts are friendly, they pointed out short cuts for walking, and local restaurants like Vespa Cafe and Healthy Ubud that are a few minutes walk from Taman Rahasia. We'd stay here again!

in a quieter neighbourhood than some of Ubud's tourist hotspots, Taman Rahasia offers extremely restful environs with a large spacious room, a lovely verandah to lounge; a tastefully designed open (yet private) bathing area and warm service. the breakfasts are sumptuous and filling.. there are a few great eateries around

It's not really a dislike but a minor suggestion.. While the room is very cosy and inviting with warm lighting, a little brighter lighting option in the room may be nice - perhaps a large central lamp can be considered in addition to the multiple other lovely lamps already provided. just a thought.

We had a fantastic stay here - the room we had was spacious and the accommodation is in a great location - a real sanctuary of calm and peace. Great breakfasts and friendly staff - we would highly recommend staying here.

The staff were so friendly. My room, my balcony, my bathroom were spacious. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The pool was peaceful. I rated the location very highly because it was just outside the more active area, definitely walkable, but for some could seem to be away from the action, for me it was a perfect way to spend my time after being out. I spent 8 days at this hotel and loved every moment.

The property itself is beautiful and has a serene atmosphere, especially during the day. It’s surrounded by greenery, and the room was spacious and aesthetically done. I was genuinely excited to stay here and had even planned to return with a friend.

Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by a breach of trust. Some food items I had purchased for my family were taken from my room—specifically a sealed box of chocolates and a pack of gum, both opened and partially taken. As a solo traveller, I didn't feel comfortable escalating it directly in person, so I addressed it discreetly, but I never received any follow-up or confirmation that action would be taken. This, combined with some unsettling interactions, left me feeling disappointed and a little unsafe. The lack of closure or accountability was what ultimately shifted my view of the place.

Amazing staff, breakfast was superb, everything was clean and taken care of! the whole place was its own sanctuary, pool was great too!! super clean! the massages were INCREDIBLE too. not a bad word to say about this place !

Good breakfast choices. Wild nature all over the yard. Woden furniture and all kind of sculptures all over the rooms & outside. Looks awesome. Good swimming pool. Spacious rooms. Drinking water.

The water pressure was a little small at the first room, but on the second, it was as expected. Nothing else that could be noted here.

we also got the spa , I didn’t like it much , it was below my expectations and the room was quite hot for me because no ac in the spa room.

Hidden from the buzz of the city you find an oasis of peace and quietness.. Beatifully decorated, spacey rooms, polite and calm staff, amazing flora. You can rent motorbike right in front of the entrance. And dont forget to try banana frenchtoast for a breakfast! :)

Very beautifully Balinese style decorated owned by a canadian - Balinese couple. Very good location, near cafés and restaurants, nice to go for a stroll in the ride fields and even experience some good restaurants in the area (very good Italian place that would be unaffordable in Europe). Lovely breakfast in a quiet environnement. The pool is also very nice and quiet. Possible to get a good massage in the hotel too.

The bed pillows were a bit hard but that’s personal 😉 Could hear other guests at night because the windows are directly open. Maybe would be good to tell the guests to be quieter at night time. Other than that, not much to say.

Beautiful villa in a magical garden.

The staff was extremely friendly and quickly helped us with everything possible to make our stay more pleasant. The place was very quiet and clean, this place is a beautiful spot surrounded by nature to rest and recover

This is more related to Uud and the location of the spa. If you want to do a lot of activities around Ubud/Bali and you cannot drive a scooter, you'll find paying some extra cash for transportation, as transportation in Bali is almost exclusively done through scooters/cars. Nevertheless, this place is PERFECT if you just want to chill at the hotel and maybe not do so many activities during your day.

The whole place could use some maintenance and renovation. It's clear that it's been built with love and attention, but that's a long time ago. Unfortunately in this state it just wasn't worth the money for us.

The entrance into the garden oasis was lovely. everything about this property was perfect. the location, the rooms, the staff, the breakfast. it was exactly the Ubud experience that we had been looking for

Ambiance of the place, fmly run, can enjoy continental breakfast sufficient to fill ur stomach besides seeing koi fish , away from hustle and bustle, small restaurants/ shops / grocery within 600- 800 mts , room provided with mosquitoe net

Road leading to resort, taxis often refuse to enter lane due narrow road, so ve to walk few meters( with luggage) towards resort entarance. For aged person not so convenient location, no parking space. Find mosquitoes near evening and nite( advised to take mosquitoes repellant when sitting outdoor or walking )

The staff were fabulous a nice family run hotel and they do laundry on site. very sweet home cooked breakfast each morning

a long corridor to access from the main road very slippery. property is a little dated. location of Hotel is not available on Grab app for taxi drop off and Pick up. you will need to use another close by location.
