Beautiful cave hotel in a quiet location with excellent customer service and stunning views!

Gorgeous cave hotel overlooking the Caldera! The hotel is beautifully decorated and designed. We had our own private jacuzzi which we relaxed in while looking at the gorgeous view. The staff was excellent! We were met by the bellhop and manger when we arrived. The manager checked us in as the bellhop kindly carried our luggage down the many cliff side steps to our private room. He provided us with many fabulous suggestions for restaurants which are steps away. We stuck to his recommendations and never had a bad meal. The location is perfect! In the middle of everything, yet quiet and peaceful at night. I would recommend booking a transfer shuttle from the airport to the flat through the hotel as it made the trip very convenient. We took the local bus for €2 each on a 30 minute ride to the neighboring town to hike the trail which was stunning. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is stunning and the perfect place for a relaxing visit to beautiful Santorini. ☀️

A dream Santorini experience came true

The location, the views, Alex & Christina were always available! They cared about our stay and experiences. The view was exceptional!!! The location was perfect.

My only complaint were the plants/bushes planted in the common outdoor space; it hindered my view of the Aegean Sea, which was easily fixed by repositioning myself. However, I found it is minuscule compared to the overall experience.

Comfortable, clean, and cozy, it was the perfect location for sites and relaxation.

Lovely property! It was one of the most prominent so you actually had to seek out neighboring properties to the left and right - looking forward and casually around, you see all water! The flowers and cacti are beautiful, even in October. The shared community space is covered and comfortably arranged.

A hot tub or pool would have been great after a long day, but its absence isn’t a deal breaker.

A dreamed place

Perfectly located right in the heart of Oia. The room was beautiful and super confortable. It was wonderful opening your front door to enjoy the sunrise or sunset from the confort of your own terrace. Alex was extremely helpful and always made sure we had everything needed.

A beautiful place carved out on a hillside.

Wow- what a great place. Alex, the host, was amazing. Jamal who hauled our luggage up and down the stairs was incredibly kind and helpful. The stairs up and down (as is all of Oia) are not for the faint of heart:). Just take your time. Loved the view, the quietness of the apartment. The “cave” we slept in was very comfortable as so perfect! Alex had great recommendations to catch our first Santorini sunset and we absolutely loved it. Go to Almoudi Bay for an amazing swim. Lots of steps down (and UP!) but you can always rent a mule to haul you up if you are too tired! Kalamari beach (two quick bus rides) is also worth relaxing at for a day trip. Stop at Fira on your way back (you have to, anyway, for a bus transfer) and have dinner before heading home to Aris Caves.

We loved it here so much!

Perfect location, in the middle of everything, most convenient spot of the whole Oia yet really calm and quiet, totally isolated from the tourist noise. Very welcoming hosts, Christina and Alex contacted us smoothly days before our arrival date and gave us clear instructions for everything in the island. Very clean and big room. Very beautiful scenery and very Greek style compared to other hotels nearby. The price is high but it’s central of Oia so cannot complain haha, in general it’s worth the money. It’s my 2nd time in Santorini and i can confidently say that Oia is much better experience than anywhere else in Santorini (i stayed in Fira the 1st time, much cheaper price, more shops and restaurants to explore, but cannot have such charming atmosphere as at Oia. If you are looking for quiet luxury feeling with the touch of Greek tradition feeling then this is the place. It’s also great for budgeting travel as well if you are like us: not eating much and just want to chill with the view (we cannot eat alot at restaurants so we decided to buy takeaway gyros and eat at the big balcony of the hotel with the view as u can see from the pictures, much more 5-star than eating at a crowded restaurant haha). We loved it here xD

I thought we could have sunset view here but turned out the famous Santorini sunset is not on this side of the hotel, still have to go to the other side (which is 5-10min walk which is nothing) and join the crowd for that moment (which is not what i expected). The steps is tiring for old people, but it’s Santorini, it’s steps everywhere so cannot complain. The hotel’s steps are actually not that bad as when i read the reviews haha, much better than other hotels tbh. It would be more perfect if there’s a swimming pool hehe. But it’s fine. The view won everything else haha

Our Favorite Stay During Our Month Long European Holiday

This is a boutique hotel family run operation. It’s 8 cave suites run by a very kind couple. First off - accept there offer to arrange a pick up from the airport. It’s a 45-ish minute drive. They will also arrange the porters once you arrive to the city. The city of Oia was not built for roller bags/suitcases and they need to be carried (it felt very VIP to have the airport pick up and porters). By the way - Oia is the right choice over Fira or any other location on Santorini. And Aris Caves is situated right in the middle of Oia - you cannot beat the location. We stayed in their largest suite and our friends stayed in one of the mid-size suites. The arrival to Aris Caves and charming steps with expansive ocean views will wow you upon arrival. When we walked into our suite my teenage kids started giggling with excitement and let me tell you - my teens are not easily impressed by anything that isn’t on a screen. Our suite had a kitchenette and dining area, a loft with two twin beds, a queen bed in the open bedroom under the loft, and a full bathroom, and a separate master bedroom with king size bed and our own bathroom. The master has an attached balcony with sun chairs and a hot tub and the most expansive views of the ocean/caldera. We spent 5 days in this suite and I think that was the perfect amount of time. Anything less and we would have missed out on getting to see everything we wanted to see in Santorini. The cherry on top was the momma cat and baby kitten that lived on the balcony below ours.

Majestic views in a tourist spot.

Everything was great except for the hoarded of tourists from the cruise ships. Be prepared to walk up and down a few flights of stairs . Inside the Cave was very well equipped , staff were amazing and helpful.

The location was amazing! A porter met us at the Uber/taxi location and carried our luggage to the room. The owner and staff met us on arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. They went over everything with us and gave us very helpful information about the island. Really wonderful people and a wonderful place to stay. I highly recommend and would definitely stay there again!

Paradise in Oia

Loved everything! From the welcome in the beginning til the end we can't think of a place we've enjoyed more. Christina and Alex are wonderful, managing a property that is stunning. The view is breathtakingly beautiful. Our apartment had everything we needed. Comfortable, clean, everything well thought out. Definitely want to come back and obviously would recommend to anyone who will listen.

Superb well presented and personally delivered

Everything, Christina and Alex were incredible. They were able to book additional tours and restaurants and there was never a request they couldn’t accommodate. We went wine tasting, sunset cruising and a personal afternoon tour to see the historic sights of the island.

Christina the host was lovely and organised anything we wanted from transfers, rental cars to restaurant recommendations. It was very private and I like being in a cave house as much cooler with high temperatures. Air con was great too

My husband and I stayed at Aris Caves and we LOVED it! The unit was so cute, very comfortable and clean. Christina was very kind and helpful, she coordinated transportation for us to and from the port and made our whole stay easy and comfortable. The porter brining your bags to/from the hotel is perfect, but I wouldn’t let the stairs scare you, there are breathtaking views the whole way up and down and Aris Caves is in a perfect location, right in the main village of Oia but you still feel relaxed and secluded once you get to your stay. I would highly recommend to anyone!!

Exceptional Views!! Unique property in the heart of Oia. Christina and team are terrific! We had room with private hot tub which we used daily after hiking all those steps. You are on the cliff side and lots of steps up/down thank goodness for our porter who basically ran up/down those steps with our luggage!! loved the complimentary goodies! The place is just spectacular!
