With most alpine hotels, too hot. Couldn’t open the windows because of the noise.

Fabulous friendly ski hotel

Great room with balcony overlooking the Hahnenkamm race course (we booked a superior double room). Huge bathroom and room had sofa and two big chairs for relaxing. Staff were so professional and friendly. Breakfast choice was fantastic, lots of cereal, fruit, cold meats plus a cooked to order egg menu. The hotel website says 'no spa' but on the first floor there is an area with steam room and sauna which is on 3pm - 9pm daily. Location is 5 mins walk to Kitzbuhel train station and Hanhenkamm ski lift. We'll definitly book again.

Perfect location and excellent service

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, and convenient ski room. Nice smelling soap/ shampoo/ conditioner. The staff really were standout… always smiling, always looking out to help, and were solution oriented! They even surprised me with a little cake to celebrate my birthday!

Was quite warm everywhere in the hotel, especially in the breakfast room. Would recommend lowering the temp a bit as it was quite hot (and I’m normally someone who runs cold). Towels were quite thin.

Great location, right in downtown Very friendly staff can help with anything, and always happy to brew coffee or poor a drink! Very large size rooms, very clean and comfortable bathroom/shower. Great breakfast, with lots of food options. Sauna is nice.

For $675 a night I would expect queen or king beds, but instead you get split beds and individual blankets. No temperature regulation in room (very dry and hot). we could not do laundry in the hotel and had to go outside for that. The ski raum smells bad. Also we had the hotel arrange a taxi for us, and we had to walk 12 minutes to the taxi stand, we don’t understand why they couldn’t pick us up near the hotel.

Everything you could ask for and more

The hotel was everything you could ask for and more. It’s in an exceptional location, center of town and 3-5 minute walk to the gondola/main lift & local train station. The breakfast is incredible so I’d recommend opting for the breakfast. The spa area, equipped with sauna, steam room, and showers, were the perfect post ski treat. The service was incredible ! Maria and Paul went above and beyond to make our stay extra comfortable and special. Needless to say, we were sad to leave.

Very nice hotel in center of Kitzbuhel. Room was clean, staff were excellente.

Room was very tiny, but it was comfortable. I didn't like that there was no fridge it the room, and no electric kettle, but staff opened bar earlier so I can get my coffee. I also didn't like that room was on the side where bars are, so had trouble with geting to sleep.

Reliving alpine history

The hotel pre-dates tourism and symbolises Kitzbuhel’s historic importance as a city and former border trading post. That aside, a great room and a fabulous breakfast buffet. Friendly staff as well.

Went for a ski trip so I wanted something close to ski lifts and to be close to the centre. Beautiful hotel, nice and clean, staff very helpful, breakfast had a very good selection and the best was a beautiful Mountain View from the room. Definitely would come back

Pounding bass from the restaurant and bar til early hours on Saturdays

Nice traditional hotel in a very good location, good breakfast, good size boot room for ski equipment storage, room was a good size for a single.

Very annoying noise from Greif Restaurant and Bar on Saturday night til 1;30am, affects maybe 7 rooms, perhaps more with pounding bass. I would advise staying here on a Saturday night if you have family or if you have to get up early on Sunday. Rooms are too hot or duvets are too thick depending on your point of view which affects sleep. Rooms are a little bit dark too. The cleaning was okay but my friend said they should do better.

Parking address is not well found with google maps, gotta know the correct roads to arrive to the hotel parking for check-in. Tablet computer used for check-in is very slow

very comfortable place right next to the gondola. easy to rent skis and very short walk to gondola. the room was also very spacious. good breakfast as well!

noisy at night and (for some odd reason) even in the early morning. a lot of house music playing. if you have ear plugs not a big deal though.
