Peaceful place to stay

If you want a moment away from the city life and chaos, I would highly recommend the stay. Secluded, serene, peaceful and quiet. Plus it has everything a home could need. With an active fireplace.

Exceptional

We are so glad we chose to stay here. Our two night stay was amazing. The lodge has everything you need and more! The wood burning stove made our evening super cosy. The views are exceptional, it felt so peaceful surrounded by the hills and sheep. We are already looking to come back to enjoy Skye in summer too

The WiFi was a little slow but we totally understand that considering how remote the lodge is.

A little slice of heaven on Skye

Incredible views out of the big picture windows. Lovely cosy but modern building. Really sweet touch with the complimentary wine and biscuits. Loved the sheep in the garden! Great that it accepts dogs.

Everything was really good! Tiny thing is that I would have liked a slightly more powerful shower…but we would absolutely come here again. A highlight of the trip.

Stunning accommodation

Location is stunning and the accommodation is fantastic - exceptionally clean and comfortable and very well equipped. Everything has been thought of. The views from the living area are absolutely fantastic and we recommend watching the sunrise and doing a bit of star gazing. Lots of lovely touches were left for us - toiletries, dog treats, wine, flowers, shortbread. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Bedside lamps in main bedroom would be a good idea. We didn't receive a message with the key lock code so had to phone for that. Infact the code was sent on the evening of the day we left as was a request to leave £45 in cash for our dog's stay. Needless to say we weren't able to leave it and even if we had been we wouldn't have as at no time prior to our stay were we told that there would be a charge for our dog to stay. We made absolutely sure that the dog left no mess at all (she doesn't shed fur).

Absolutely amazing ❤️

This house is just stunning, absolutely perfect….. and views to die for. You will not be disappointed in your stay, it will take your breath away. Perfect location, not far from the Old Man of Storr and about 25 minutes drive to Portree. An absolute must stay location if visiting Skye. The owners have the house equipped with absolutely everything and then some. A welcome bunch of flowers and a bottle of wine was such a lovely gesture when we arrived. Just perfect xx

Unieke locatie, comfortabel modern huisje

Prachtige woning op een ultieme en bijzondere plek. Onwijs mooi uitzicht. Je zit letterlijk op een uitkijkpunt, zonder andere. Onwijs gaaf. Woning is goed onderhouden en comfortabel ingericht. Aan veel is gedacht, zelfs koffiecups, wat koekjes en een Nespresso apparaat. Niet goedkoop, maar je krijgt er zeker heel veel voor terug. Verhuurder communiceert snel en vriendelijk.

Paar kleine tips ter verbetering: - Handdouche in douche monteren. Alleen een regendouche is niet altijd handig. Handdouche past bij de relatief hoge huurprijs. - In de twee wandspotjes in de woonkamer zitten spotjes met een ijs-koude witte kleur. Draai in de armaturen twee spotjes met een warmere kleur. Dit past dan goed bij de rest van de lampen. (Geldt ook voor de slaapkamer). Deze details doen recht aan de aandacht die eerder is besteed aan de inrichting. - Vergeet met schoonmaken niet de spinnendraden in de punt van het dak en de plinten bij de woonkamerramen. - Overweeg de slaapkamer in het tweede gebouw ook te verhuren. Woning is dan geschikt voor 4 personen. Maakt het geheel nog aantrekkelijker. Dit zijn kleine verbeteringen. Samengevat: een prima en luxe huisjes op een bijzondere plek.

Ruhiges Haus in schöner Gegend

Abgeschieden in ruhiger Lage mit einem traumhaften Ausblick. In der Nähe vieler Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ein Highlight auf unserer Schottland-Route. Insgesamt sehr gut ausgestattet. Ideal auch für Haustiere, weil umzäunt.

Etwas teuer. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche lässt zu wünschen übrig und nicht jeder ist Fan einer Regenwald-Dusche, insbesondere wenn es keine Handdusche gibt.

Schönes Ferienhaus welches aber relativ teuer ist.

Ferienhaus mit super Lage, Blick aufs Meer. Viel Platz und schönes Badezimmer im Haupthaus. Morgens liefen die Rehe und Hirsche vorbei. Sehr sauberes Haus mit netten Kleinigkeiten wie Keksen und Tee . Unser Hund hat sich sehr wohlgefühlt durch das große Wohnzimmer. Es gab sogar einen Napf und ein Handtuch vom Vermieter welches wir gerne genutzt haben.

Wir haben in der Dusche eine Ablage und eine Möglichkeit eine Handbrause zu nutzen vermisst. Es gab zwar eine Duschhaube, aber nur die Regendusche von oben war nicht so angenehm im Haupthaus. Leider gab es etwas wenig Besteck und Geschirr und wir mussten dadurch die Spülmaschine öfter benutzen. Das waren aber alles nur Kleinigkeiten.

Wunderbare Location, herrlicher Ausblick, grossartige Landschaft- Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen.

Traumhafte Lage! Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Küche ist top ausgestattet. Gastgeber waren für Fragen gut erreichbar und haben rasch reagiert.

Kühlschrank war defekt (Flaschenhalterung abgebrochen - man konnte keine Flaschen in die Kühlschranktüre stellen). Das Bett hat sehr stark geknarrt - ziemlich störend. WLAN etwas langsam. Leider war die Einrichtung nicht so wie auf den Fotos als wir gebucht hatten- Die Ledercouch (auf den Fotos war noch eine Couch aus Stoff) hatte leider einen riesigen Schmutzfleck, und auch der Teppich und die Pölster machten nicht den saubersten Eindruck (wirkten schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen...)-. Aktivierung der Heizung kompliziert - Angabe in der "Mappe" nicht ausreichend/detailliert. Bei diesem Mietpreis sollte das eigentlich nicht sein...
