The lodge is super comfortable, especially the bed. Everything you need and the location was amazing

Everything. The perfect location in my opinion for a stay on Isle of Skye. Nestled just off the main highway/road right between the Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing. Less than a 15 min drive to each. And a 25 min drive to Portree. Also, you’re surrounded by sheep and breath taking views. Also the trail to the Brother’s Point is right outside your doorstep. It’s a beautiful and cozy cottage with a full kitchen, kitchen table, and king sized bed, plus a sofa and fire place! The perfect place for a romantic getaway. We wife and I stayed and it was magical! Clean and well kept. If you’re looking for the perfect romantic getaway I don’t think you could find a better place! Booking was easy. And access was easy - though full confession when we first arrived I wasn’t sure where to turn off the highway and passed the entrance road. Bathroom/toilet/shower was great and we loved the towel warmer! Kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans and dishes, and full sized fridge. Though we mostly just ate in Portree as it was only a short 20-25 min drive.

The only very very minor thing was the water pressure in the shower could be a smidge stronger. But I’d still give the pressure an 8 out of 10. But it is a fairly remote location so it already exceeded my expectations.

The cottage is cozy, warm and great overall. You have everything to cook there and a nice fireplace. You can watch the ships from the window. The bus stop is right around the corner. Yoh can enjoy beautiful sea side views and take a short walk to the beach.

After the long hikes, it would be very appreciated to take a hot shower with stronger water pressure. If you travel without a car it's also a bit hard to get the groceries, because the bus on the isle isn't reliable.

The lodge is set in a beautiful location. The property itself is really charming and the walkway down to the beach and brothers point make this a really nice place for a short stay in Skye.

Unfortunately, there were certain elements which fell short of my expectation, especially as the property was £1,290 for the few nights we stayed. At that premium price you expect there to be no mould on the ceiling of the shower, no obvious damage and marks from previous tenants. Some love and care needs to be injected into the property to bring it back to its glory which I am sure it could be.
