A Lovely Apartment!

- Cristina the host was very helpful. She met us at the door and showed us around. She answered my questions quickly and even helped when we had a medical situation come up. Thank you! - The decor is unique and tastefully updated. - AC worked well, even during a heat wave of 100-degree days - We enjoyed the larger terrace when it was cool enough to sit outside. - Two grocery stores were within easy walking distance (less than 10 minutes) - Beds were comfortable and cozy. - Kitchen was fine - simple but it served our needs. It could be helpful to provide a couple more mugs. - Only a 15-min walk to the train station. A couple of things that are helpful to know: - The bedrooms, both bathrooms, and the washing machine is downstairs, whereas the living room and kitchen and main terrace are upstairs. - The photos on the website jumble together multiple properties, so I got a bit confused when we arrived. But it was not a big deal - The sea green bedroom and the pink one with the black and white stripes was the one we stayed in. - I knew the location was on the "wrong" side of the river, so just be aware of that. It's about a 20-minute walk to the museums and about 25 minutes to the Duomo. That would not have been a problem except for the heat. - Be aware that there are no cushions for the wicker furniture on the larger terrace. Since we couldn't sit out there much due to the heat, it wasn't a big deal.

- The living room includes a loveseat and a chair. The chair wasn't all that comfortable, so it was hard for three of us to sit in the same room.

Would stay again as long as mold issue was taken care of.

It’s a lovely apartment & the host was prompt in replying to any questions. The door lock is challenging- when we locked ourselves out the host was prompt on sending help. However- there is some mold growing in a downstairs bedroom which is why I couldn’t give it higher ratings.

Dimore d'Oro exceeded all expectations and was outstanding value for money. Cristina was a welcoming and responsive host which made the stay even more delightful. The property located a leisurely 10 - 15 min stroll to the main attractions in Florence city. 15 minutes if you wanted to take the opportunity to have a more scenic walk past the Pitti Palace and over the Ponte Vecchio... also providing many shopping opportunities. Tasso Square is a very easy 5 mins walk away and is a great place to experience fabulous and inexpensive local food and drinks. Close to supermarkets and an excellent, early opening bakery 200m away with great coffee and pastries which is very handy when you have early morning tours planned. Very spacious and awesome amenities. The washer and dryer were very appreciated after several weeks of travelling!

More information on the site would have saved the older members of the group from disappointment.

The location is great. Across the river, away from most of the big tourist groups but not many minutes walk away from must-see attractions of fabulous Florence. Good bathrooms, excellent hot water supply to showers, comfortable beds. Good washing machine with dryer as well as pleasant outdoor area for sitting or drying clothes.

We knew there was one flight of stairs to the 2 bedroom apartment but there was no mention of the fact that an equally challenging flight had to be negotiated every time one needed to visit the bedroom or the bathroom. As an active couple in our eighties we found the situation quite exhausting at times. The living area was not really suited to 4 people, 3 people on the comfortable sofa and one solo on the not very comfortable chair. Several steps down into the fairly cramped kitchen area.

We loved both the apartment and the position.

This one bedroom apartment on the ground floor is a treat. Really nothing not to like about it. The rooms are spacious and attractive. Very comfortable seating, even in the dining area. Good bathroom with ample hot water. Comfortable bed. Well equipped kitchen. We stayed for 2 weeks. Great position on the 'wrong' side of the river but still in the historic centre of fabulous Florence without the streams of tourist groups. Bonus of being in quite an artisan area which makes for interesting walks. Also great local family run trattorias abound. No noise from outside or inside of the building at night.

A dryer would be good as there is no outdoor area to hang clothes. More than one power point in the kitchen would be appreciated.

Exceptional

Clean, stylish, comfy bed and linens (including bath towels), fully equipped kitchen. On a residential street, very quiet but the lively night scene is just a few blocks away! Host was accommodating when our train was delayed for checkin & there are so many amazing cocktail bars and restaurants close- had a wonderful stay here!

Excellent location with modern convinces!

The location was in the Oltrarno District - a short 15 minute walk to city center and all the main attractions. The neighborhood is off the beaten path with plenty of restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and shopping near by. The apartment was modern, clean, easily accessible on the ground floor and very comfortable. Smart TV, Nespresso machine, microwave, washer/dryer combo and dishwasher were all excellent additions. Highly recommend!

elegant apartment located in a quiet area, not far from the city center

elegance, refinement, good taste in the furnishing of the apartment, the apartment was furnished with good quality things... starting with the dishes in the kitchen and continuing with the furniture, the sofa and the beds (the most restful)

Great place that made our stay in Florence even better!

Cozy, nicely decorated apartment close to the touristic center (10 min walk), away from the buzz of the city but still plenty of Osteria’s and supermarkets around. Spacious bedrooms, well equipped (good coffee machine, dishwasher, small washing machine) good WiFi, and very (very!) comfortable beds. Good communication with Christina the host, she is lovely!

Airco’s needed some time to cool down, the one in the bedroom actually did not cool very well, maybe they were due for maintenance. It wasn’t clear on booking that not all apartments had terrace access and ours didn’t. I think only one has so check when booking.

Perfect apartment in a great neighborhood. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had great A/C! Extra amenities like iron, washer and dryer were helpful. We loved the neighborhood and checking out restaurants around the area. Definitely a more 'local' neighborhood than many other areas of Florence.

Superb

The apartment was beautiful and close to supermarkets and cafes. The host (Cristina) was excellent, very helpful and always responded to our questions within minutes. It seemed to be in the more local area of town.

Cleanliness was good but could improve (The rug in the main area and bathroom floors). The apartment is located on the Southside of the river and it is a 15-20 minute walk to many tourist destinations. This would normally be no issue for us but with the hot temperatures, the walk back and forth got to us quickly.

Perfect modern apartment close (enough) to everything!

I liked so much about the apartment. The location was close to the tourist sights but off the main drag. Local places for dinner and gelato were close enough. Due to the location of the windows in the photos, I thought it was was a basement apartment, but it is actually on the ground floor. The windows are high on the wall which provides light AND privacy. All the rooms are large with plenty of space to spread out. The bed was super comfortable - and large - and the bedroom closets kept were cavernous, keeping a lot of our junk out of view. The kitchen was well equipped. The dining area chairs were super cute AND comfortable. Oh yeah, it was very clean! Did I mention the air conditioning and the washing machine!!!

What could have been better? Not much. My husband likes microwaves.

Rock star stay

Everything was great. The accommodation, 10 minutes walk from center, places to eat and market near by, still quiet. The apartment is exactly as it is described on booking an we all said a big “ woooow “ after getting in. The large terrace is absolutely perfect for a glass of Prosecco after a long day. The host, Cristina is extremely helpful, did not charge for late check in and since our plane was late in the afternoon, allowed us late check out ( we were lucky since no one was coming next day). Hope this is helpful and all you guys will enjoy your stay as much as we did!

Will stay here again in a heartbeat

-very comfortable bed -plenty of sunlight -fiber optic internet -air conditioning -fully equipped with espresso machine , iron , washer/dryer -location is perfect ; quiet neighborhood away from tourists, close to plenty of amazing restaurants and a 10-15min walk to the main tourist attractions -Cristina was so nice and quick to respond. I for sure will stay here again next time I visit.

Cristina was personal, helpful and always happy to help. The apartment is impeccably decorated, sun filled and had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. It is not in the centre but a close walk (10 mins) and has a more restaurant/bar neighbourhood vibe which I personally prefer.

Fabulous stay!

Beautiful decor, clean, very comfortable, apartment has all the things you could need for a short stay. There is a Lovely patio area for breakfast in the morning and prosecco and nibbles in the evening. San Frediano is not too close to the main touristy area but within easy walking distance of everything and there are plenty of restaurants and a supermarket close by. Thank you to Cristina the host who was always on hand if there was a problem. I would definitely recommend a stay here... I didn’t want to leave this beautiful city and hopefully I will be back!

Most memorable vacation in a beautiful apt!

The owners were amazing to communicate with. They were always available when we needed them and gave us EXCELLENT recommendations for eating, shopping, and sightseeing. The apartment was so spacious and comfortable that we had a hard time leaving every morning. But the temptation of local bakeries were to much. The apartment was super clean and had every amenity we needed during our week stay including umbrellas, washing machine soap, some basic kitchen cooking ingredients, and a stocked kitchen for cooking. I wanted to bring the bed and pillows home with me (they were so comfortable) and the AC was greatly appreciated after sightseeing all day in the heat! We will stay here again and again and will suggest it to all of our friends!

Very probably the best short ever - luxurious accomodation, fantastic food, great sites to see!

We were met at the apartment by Christina, a wonderfully helpful and knowledgeable host - her enthusiasm and all-round desire to please was extremely well received. The apartment itself was well appointed and tastefully decorated and as we were to learn throughout our stay, it is situated in the best possible location for site seeing and entertainment (possibly the best two meals we have EVER had were in two restaurants that were less than 150 yards from the apartment). Positioned south of the river Arno the area does not suffer from the mass of tourists that teem around the major attractions, however, it is home to some fantastic restaurants and bars. The apartment is extremely quiet at night and the beds are really, really comfortable - allowing for a great night's sleep before a busy day site seeing!

There really was nothing to dislike - a super apartment in a fantastic location, with a brilliant host!

Falta climatizar bien el apartamento ya que incluso dejando todo el día el aparato del aire acondicionado en modo caliente, no se estaba suficientemente caliente…además el agua caliente va con caldera y es demasiada pequeña y no pudimos ducharnos 2 personas seguidas…lo demás todo bien
