Lovely stay in a characterful cottage!
Fabulous size and well furnished. Good layout and lovely features. Good location and very handy for town centre, pubs and restaurants. Comfortable beds and nice linens. Well equipped kitchen. Fab garden - we saw two monkjack deer in there 😊. Great parking.
The bedroom downstairs with its own separate door got extremely cold at night. We tried leaving the heating on but then the rest of the house was too hot and also the boiler was very noisy to have running at night. The room would be fine in the warmer temperatures but it was really unpleasantly cold in December. We would suggest an electric plug-in radiator that could just keep the chill off during the night. We would also recommend doormats inside all entrance doors as it was very wet while we were staying. It would be helpful to have a welcome pack giving information on the house and local pubs etc. it would also be helpful to have details of the recycling as the bins outside weren’t marked up. We did split everything up and had to guess which bins it all went in - hope we got it right!

Brilliant stay. I would definitely recommend.
Beautiful cottage. Spacious, clean and close to everything.
There was no basics like salt. and pepper or oven gloves.

We had a lovely time - the house was very comfortable and clean and in a great, central location
A lovely, spacious house, very clean, with four large bedrooms, close to the centre of Witney - it was a great location for spending time with family and exploring the Cotswolds
The kitchen was slightly underequipped (eg. no oven gloves) and the recycling requirements were not clear.

Overall a nice place but lacking things to make it a great stay-over location
The location was lovely, walking distance from lots of bits and bobs in Witney. The layout is great for hosting a few friends - kitchen/diner and then large living room area too and big garden! The rooms were all a generous size and all 9 of us slept comfortably - 2 of the rooms have ensuites and the other 2 rooms share a bathroom. When we asked only a few hours before about extending checkout, they were happy to provide checkout at 11:30 vs 10am which was handy and allowed us to tidy properly Parking fits 4 comfortably, could maybe get 5 with some Tetris-style parking
The hosts were hard to get hold of on the run up. We had a few questions which we didn't get answers to until the day before e.g. around parking, kitchen amenties, and things in the local area. The kitchenware selection was limited - mix and match champagne glasses for exactly 9 people, limited baking trays/cooking assets, no oven gloves and just one tea towel so if you plan to host a dinner you might benefit bringing a few bits yourself. There also were no additional bin bags, any dishwasher tablets, and 1.5 toilet rolls per bathroom - aka 4.5 toilet rolls for 9 people for 2 days so we had to buy more. When we asked about dishwasher tablets/bin bags we did eventually get a reply and the cleaners dropped some over but by this point we had bought some so we could keep the place tidy. We were asked to pay a deposit outside of Booking.com on the day of arriving in addition to the payment we already made. When we followed up never got a clear response about it These are pretty minor things so all in all a good experience but they can make things difficult/awkward for a birthday surprise weekend!

    Great house and location
Good location good size nice bedding and towels
Needed a few extra touches that a lot of properties provide now . No salt pepper ketchup , poor selection of trays that fit in the oven , no cling film or foil . No shampoo conditioner or body wash … these touches would make the place a WOW . Downstairs room and bathroom very dusty . Dirty outside table . Very small thin ( pathetic) dishcloth !!! Come on housekeeping or maintenance team spend a few pence more and get a WOW your competing with such great places these days

    Disappointing property - overpriced
Location within easy walk of Witney town centre as described
Cleanliness - interior kitchen bins not cleaned, sofas grubby, sitting room floor not vacuumed correctly, external area not swept, bin area broken bags and rubbish strewn, dog excrement visible on gravel, Contact - received so many emails about arrival and checkout and extra payments it became annoying. I tried to contact property with number provided to complain when we arrived and no one got back to me for 24 hours.

Lovely stay, great property just slightly spoiled by its cleanliness.
Good location and spacious property. Great outdoor space for the kids and d dogs.
Cleanliness was not great especially the floors which were filthy.
