Wonderful Stay at Morley House
We had a wonderful stay at Morley House. The property is beautiful, exceptionally well maintained, and clearly cared for. Everything was clean and tidy, and the range of cooking equipment, board games, and books made it the perfect spot for a weekend getaway with a large group. The living area was incredibly comfortable and beautifully decorated for the festive season, complete with a stunning Christmas tree. The house is full of character, and as it was our first trip to the Cotswolds, it gave us the perfect introduction to the area. The bedrooms were all spacious and comfortable, we were a group of 11 and we never felt cramped. The location of the property is perfect; the village is super accessible, with lots of lovely little shops, coffee spots and pubs. The locals made us feel very welcome! The host Jonathan was great, readily contactable and very friendly. We really appreciated his hospitality, and the hosts even left us a handwritten note alongside a bottle of wine and loaf our sourdough - a lovely gesture. The information provided prior to the stay regarding parking / the local area was greatly appreciated too! Jonathan was also very accommodating when we requested a slightly later check out. Thank you so much! Overall I would highly recommend this property and its hosts and would love to book again.
The host was fantastic and made our stay really enjoyable. I understand we were one of the first guests; the only small piece of feedback would be about the kitchen setup. It would have been lovely to be able to use the AGA, though we still managed well with the portable electric hob provided. The kitchen is well-equipped, but some items were a little hard to find at times. Streamlining the utensils and organising the store-cupboard food a bit more could make things even easier for future guests.
