Bock Retreat Lodge 54 with Hot Tub

The lodge was lovely and clean beds very comfortable and great location highly recommended

Brilliant lodge with a lovely backdrop to some trees and a small stream - great to relax in the hot tub in the evening. Will likely come back again!

Some of the pans needed replacing but were usable and the no using the hot tub after 10pm is a bit strange Beds in the side rooms were not comfy

The lodge was in need of some significant improvements and maintenance on arrival. We encountered the following issues during our stay: Two of the lights in the hot tub were cracked, and unfortunately, our granddaughter cut her foot on one of them. The First Aid Kit did not contain some essential items, including plasters. There was no brush or hoover provided, making it difficult to keep the floors clean during our stay. The gas had not been switched on upon arrival, and the gas cooker was subsequently difficult to light. The grill contained dirty trays with food residue and deposits from previous use. Rubbish had been left on the decking when we arrived. One of the radiators was tied to the wall using garden wire, which appeared unsafe and was certainly not an acceptable standard of maintenance. The bath panel was cracked. There was no bathmat provided for the shower, creating a potential slipping hazard. Overall, the condition and cleanliness of the lodge were disappointing, and several of the issues raised were either safety concerns or basic maintenance matters that should have been addressed before our arrival.
