Moonlight Ridge -2 bedroom lodge with hot tub

The lodge was nice and modern and bigger than expected ...hot tub was nice and big .. We checked in an hour earlier which was nice 4 adults and one 3 year old

When we got there the decking was dirty and full of cobwebs. .all the tables chairs were stacked up and difference places .not inviting at all ..the stream was overgrown and had paper in ..no brush to brush floor no cleaning facilities so couldnt clean up after we left 4 bowls ..there were 5 of us...no big bowl for salad. Not enough utensils. No covers for bedding for sofa bed which was not comfortable at all for adult .my son went home the last night as couldn't sleep on it . Stripped bedding for them the quilt was full of holes the mattress were awful and bed very uncomfortable. . Just basic things that let it down

After reading other reviews, I was wondering what I would see on arrival, but it was a lot better than expectations, even though a little bit tired , it was an easy place to find off the A1, Checked in at 3pm, everything was clean on the inside, Hot tub clean and ready to use, I was surprised by the two bathrooms, one with walk in shower, the other bath with over shower, dishwasher and washer dryer was fully working and a bonus, we took our own airfryer, so didn`t use the oven..wifi was consistent, code is on the box near the TV, the pull out sofas in the lounge needed a bit of TLC... but other wise acceptable to sit and watch tv. A peaceful place on the camp, to say it was just of the A1 you couldn`t hear the traffic, just birds tweeting and the morning heron visit, lots of outdoor seating, cushions stored in an open box near hot tub, watch out for a maintenance man arrive everyday at 10.30 to clean the hot tub,, arrives unannounced but never talks to you.....

pull out sofas were tired and needed repair, not all the light bulbs in and around the lodge worked, and lots of cobwebs outside need just a clean, could have done with a coffee table in the lounge area, and less chlorine in the hot tub, had to leave cover off for 2 hours for it to evaporate everyday after the maintenance man had been and topped it up,

Beautiful lodge- well looked after and perfect location, the hot-tub and patio were extremely private looking over the stream and woods. Lots of outdoor furniture. Lovely fluffy towels supplied. Plenty of space and well equipped- America fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer dryer etc Extremely clean. Excellent welcome pack- crisps and Prosecco- very useful supplies were provided- coffee, tea, sugar, milk, toiletries and cleaning goods( cloths, dishwasher tabs etc)

There were no cushions for the outdoor furniture-We couldn't access the storage cabinet as it was locked. Washer dryer didn't work. No grill pan. Toilet seats were both ill fitted and moved massively when sat on. No large bowls in kitchen (for salad etc) Spotlights outside werent all working. The curtains in the living/dining room were all hanging off - its a beautiful lodge but curtains let it down hugely.

Great location close to the A1 and loads to do close by

The interior and fittings were aged, lots of the door handles and window handles were loose , the hot tub was over chlorinated to such a point my partner and I have suffered with some quite serious dry skin / chlorine burns. This spoilt the point of the visit , also the amount of warnings not to use the hot tub for extended times was quite off putting, I have stayed at a number of properties with tubs before and never had the kind of draconian warnings that were around the property and finally we found the cutlery and utensils, including the pans dirty on arrival which is a little disappointing
