About this house rental
The perfect family vacation along the Oregon Coast ~ you won’t find a better view!
This three-bedroom, 2 bath home (Sleeps 7) has been completely remodeled with some of the finest finishing touches and new furniture. Two bedrooms have direct views of the ocean and lighthouse, one bedroom has a partial view of the ocean. Perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, in even the stormiest weather, the view is always amazing. Hot tub recently added to back deck. (Please follow all hot tub rules.) *An additional $50 cleaning fee is required for stays 14-30 days long.
Located in the Agate Beach neighborhood at the north end of town, conveniently close to beaches, parks, restaurants, and local shops.
The beautifully remodeled kitchen with brand new appliances has plenty of prep space ~ you can even see the view of the ocean from the kitchen island! Lounge on the couch in the living room and take in the panoramic view, enjoy the cozy fire in the fireplace, or watch a movie. Whatever you do, you will surely enjoy your time.
Also included are a washer and dryer, Wifi and four flatscreen TVs with cable.
Visible from this home, is the historic Yaquina Head Lighthouse, the tallest lighthouse in Oregon, first lit in 1873 and now open for tours. Walk through the Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area to explore the tidepools and do some birdwatching. Or, catch a current movie at the Newport Cinema, less than a half-mile from your front door right across Hwy 101.
A rough path to the beach is located one block south (a steady foot may be required). Easier beach access is just two miles south to the Agate State Beach Recreation Site where you can walk along the beach or play in the water. Or, continue south to downtown Newport for the world-famous Oregon Coast Aquarium and fun attractions like Ripley's Believe It Or Not, The Wax Works, and the Oregon Undersea Gardens, all just four miles away along Newport's historic bay front.

The hot tub wasn’t clean. I wish there had been supplies available so we could clean it ourselves. It would have been helpful if the home came with provided more cleaning supplies, like a skimmer, pH balance brush, chemicals, a test kit, or a vacuum. Any of these tools would have allowed us to clean it and feel safer while using it.Both restrooms had a lot of cobwebs and spider webs. Additionally, the first restroom had some mouse droppings in the corner of the cabinet, indicating that it hadn’t been properly cleaned or swept. If it had been, they would have caught it, or perhaps there was a new mouse.I had messaged the property manager in advance to ask if the barbecue and hot tub would be cleaned because we have had problems in the past with renting homes that were always dirty. When we arrived at the home on Friday night it was later than expected. We had planned to barbecue, but it was so dirty that we decided to go out to eat instead. Because it would have been too late to clean the barbecue and prepare dinner. Which was very disappointing, especially since I had communicated my concerns to the property manager. The next day, my husband cleaned the barbecue because we had a guest arriving. He spent over an hour cleaning it.What I really loved about the home was the gorgeous view highlighted in the property listing.

The house and view were great!However, kitchen drawers were dirty, couch in main room had snot on it (which I cleaned), quite a few cobwebs around the ceiling, and the air filter was very thick with dust. Regardless, the house was so nice that we were able to ignore those issues pretty quickly.

View was great. Barbecue was difficult to start. Hard to have a campfire when quiet time is 9:30 and it gets dark at nine. It makes you nervous to sit outside at night. Not worth the price.
