Well located with comfy rockers set in front of the ocean-facing picture window. (Window shades would be appreciated on sunny days.) Three bedrooms upstairs share a bath. Full bath downstairs with sitting room, den and kitchen dining area. The view is the huge draw with this house. And right in Nye Beach.

The house was big and beautiful, clean, quiet neighborhood. We were lucky and was able to park in front of the house a lot, but the few times someone else was parked there we were able to find a close parking spot. The stairs up to the bedrooms is a bit steep, but wasnt an issue for us, but if you dont handle stairs well i wouldnt recommend. Great beach view and easy access to the beach right around the corner. But to be clear you CANNOT access the beach from the property, you have to walk a tiny bit to get to the beach, on that walk we met a friendly cat! I would recommend this beach house.

This was our first trip since welcoming our daughter (now 8 months old), and we couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. The home was incredibly comfortable, well-appointed, had amazing views and had everything we needed. We loved how easy it was to walk to the water and explore Nye Beach’s charming downtown. We’ll definitely be looking to stay here again!

The house is amazing! If you're looking for an "original beach house", then this one is for you! Everything is in easy walking distance, the historic district is super fun. My only regret....I wanted to stay a few more days. Work said"NO". Bummer. Highly recommend it.

Wonderful house with character. Great location for our purposes. Within walking distance to several favorite shops and galleries and beach walking. Great view of the sea. Needs mattress replacements. Soon, if possible. One other thing: dining table had a thick coat of oil from polishing. Love the rocking chairs in front of the dining room windows ,possible

The house was perfect for our family. We loved the view of the crashing waves, the easy walks and drives to delicious dining options, and the fact that the house had everything we needed to comfortably hang out together, get a good sleep, and get up and do it again the next day!

We really enjoyed this home - oceanfront, easily walkable to Nye Beach shopping and down to the beach. A quick drive to the additional bayfront restaurants. The home is older/historic but very comfortable.

We loved the 1906 home with many ocean inspired decorations! The bedding and towels were clean without perfumed detergents and the kitchen well stocked with cooking gadgets.No spices or coffee filters, we left our filters for others.Awesome location, ease of check- in.Windows and mirrors could use a deep clean with a steam vacuum, as well as bathroom cedar.

This was our second week long stay at the American Classic. We had a great time. This place is wonderful. It is meticulously decorated, has modern appliances, and is perfect for relaxing while watching whales or sleeping (13 hours a night for me). Many pet friendly restaurants are nearby. Everyone in the area is friendly and the hosts respond immediately to any questions that you have. We plan to be back again next year.

My husband, I and another couple spent 3 nights at the American Classic beach house. Great location with a stunning view. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Loved sitting out on the deck listening to the ocean and watching the waves. Coming from Wyoming that was quite a treat. Beds were a little broke down but we were so tired by the end of each day we all slept well. Shower has great water pressure and lots of hot water. Would definitely come stay again. House was cozy and homey.

We loved this house! It has the charm of an older home and is perfectly maintained. The beds were very comfortable, including the sofa bed. The decor was perfect for a beach house, with lots of shells. The view of the ocean from the living room and deck were great, and access to Nye beach was easy. We also appreciated the cleaning supplies and extra spices in the pantry. We had everything we needed!

We have stayed at the American Classic a number of times. The location is in our favorite part of Newport with a beautiful view of the ocean and within walking distance to a good selection of shops and restaurants. Since we've discovered this wonderful home we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. It checks all of the boxes of the things we are looking for at the coast. Spent 3 weeks here and loved every minute of it. Spacious and loved the huge windows with the awesome view of the pacific. Morning coffee inside sitting in the chair glider was heaven. Beds have one firm one soft and one really soft. I picked the daybed downstairs and it was comfy but had a lot of light at night. Kitchen was decently stocked. We cooked at least one meal a day. Older home with a lot of charm. Walking distance to all shops, restaurants, performing arts center and visual arts center. We only needed a car for grocery store or sight seeing. Parking was never a problem. Quiet neighborhood. Walked my little dogs every morning and evening with no worries. Bathroom lighting isn't the greatest but wasn't a big deal. Great hot water in the showers! I enjoyed the three week stay and would stay again!

Wonderful beach home with amazing views! We loved that this was in walking distance to cute shops, coffeehouse and restaurants. The beach is easy to get to (about a 5 minute walk) and so enjoyable to take a stroll out on the sand every evening at sunset. House was nicely stocked with everything we could ever need. Check in was easy and the owners responded quickly when we had a couple of questions. (The stairs to the second level are a bit narrow. My Mom wasn't comfortable using them, so she just slept in the bed on the ground floor. It wasn't a problem for us, but just something to keep in mind if someone has mobility issues.) We loved our stay here, and hope to come back again soon!

My friends and I love to visit Newport in April to take classes at the Paper and Book Art Festival. The weather in Newport has almost always been great for our stay, and we have rented various places over the past seven years. When I spied American Classic on Vrbo, every box was checked for me. (It's difficult to pick something everyone will like.) However, when we entered the living room and saw the ocean view through the very large windows, my reputation for picking vacation homes was secured. Everyone was happy. Great kitchen with everything we needed, a dining table with plenty of room for everyone, nice bathrooms with plenty of towels, etc. This house isn't brand new, but has tons of character and a couple of squeaky floors, etc. We loved it! Only caveat: If anyone is allergic to pet dander, they might rethink this place since other renters are allowed to bring their animals. Only one person in our group was affected. Great communication with the host, too! Thanks for sharing this spot.

We do an annual beach vacation.. this year was Newport.. The aquarium was fun..the beach a blast..the view from our rental spectacular! My 6 year old granddaughter loved the parasailer that past by the window 3 or 4 times. Also learning about the big and little dipper that were visible on our first night.

“Classic” is an excellent description of this beach home. This is an extremely cozy beach home, with an incredible ocean view. Nye beach is a fun, retro neighborhood with lots of great dinning within a few minutes of walking. We would definitely stay here again. The only down side would be for people who have difficulty with stairs since all the bedrooms are on the second floor. Although there is a sofa bed downstairs in the front room.

This home is a classic, just as it says. It's an older home with its quirks, but was great for our family getaway. The high winds shook the house a little, but added to the charm of the home in my book. The location is amazing, and this time of the year parking is not an issue at all. Be mindful of safety on the beach. This was the highest high tide I have ever seen.

This home felt like I was staying at a friends house. It was in a superb location and an easy walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. It had a beautiful ocean view. The rooms were quite small but we spent all of our time in the open concept living/dinning/kitchen area. It was the perfect place for us to gather for an early family Christmas celebration. Definitely a great place for a reasonable price!
