Pondok Baruna Garden

Big room, with comfortable bed, shower and AC. 50 meters from the beach and the Arthemas ferry station.

The bathroom window was open and a gecko got in. We managed to get him out and then closed the window. To avoid that they get in, close all doors and windows, turn on the AC, close the curtains and keep lights to the minimum. It worked for us very well. The geckos like humid and bright places, so creating the opposite environment will keep them out. The road both to the beach and to the main street is a bit rough. You need sandals or beach shoes at least. The AC was very powerful and blowing on us during the night. We had to divert the stream from the bed repositioning the tall plant

Very very comfortable bed and pillows. Beautiful gardens and lovely pool, housekeeping did an exceptional job with little flowers placed around. Very relaxing and comfortable seating area outside every room. Very close to restaurants and dive shops. Owner arranged a tour for me which was excellent.

Only small thing was that the shower wasn’t great.. maybe not quite cold but definitely not warm. To be fair, i kept forgetting to let her know so maybe it could have been fixed?

Quiet. Beautiful garden setting. Pool was deep and clean. Only 8 rooms so felt like your own villa. Value for money and good location.

Peaceful and quiet. Little sanctuary close to beach

Stayed here for the staff ratings to get that Homestay feeling, however minimal interaction with staff. Didn’t speak much English, not very engaging. Being a solo traveller it was a bit too quiet for me
