Peaceful Calheta Getaway with Sea & Mountain Views - Orchid House

Eine schöne und geräumige Wohnung,einziger Wermutstropfen sind die LKWs die ab dem Morgen vorbei fahren - wer lang ausschlafen möchte wird sich daran stören, ansonsten ist man ja eh unterwegs.

We stayed 2 weeks in this very nice house. The equipment is very good and everything is there what you need for daily life. Recently, there is even a stove that has not yet been listed in the description. Wifi works fast and trouble-free. TV with satellite channels of all international channels. (also all german). A car is definitely required because of the hillside location. There is, however, the great view for free. The house is located above Calheta in the middle of the locals and not in a complex. You can watch the locals doing their gardening on their small terrace fields. Except positive to mention is the nice contact with the owner, who during the stay again and again via whatsapp inquires, if everything is ok and nothing is missing. In this positive, totally unobtrusive way, we have never experienced it before. It was our first stay on Madeira. The island is gorgeous and has something for everyone. First and foremost, of course, for hikers. Since you can not see everything in 2 weeks we will definitely try to come back again. Thanks again to Silvia for the pleasant hospitality. EheI. O. and K. The photos and the description here totally match with reality. It's a cosy small house with all amenities you wish to find in a self-catering home (fully equipped kitchen, nice bathroom, international TV channels, washing machine, W-LAN, outdoor BBQ area, etc). We absolutely felt at home there!! Silvia is a very helpful host! She gave us a very warm welcome and helped us out with any information about the area, about hiking possibilities, about restaurants, etc. Thank you again for making our vacation an unforgettable event!
