A quaint snug condo unit in a parklike area with jogging distance to downtown areas!
Two parts of our experience stand out - one, location. We easily walked to the Umlauf sculpture museum just down the hill, which set in a broad leafy forested park is a real gem. We also walked all the way along the river and park and crossed the river to visit the dramatically located red granite State House and though it was before noon, the famed 6th Street bar and music area. The other plus for us was the ambiance of the unit, someone with similar 60's-'70s vibe in the books and furnishings, low-key retro. We also found the Nepalese couple who manage the convenience store next door both spoke pretty good Japanese (my wife and I live in Japan, and were in TX to meet various friends and family after many years).
No real gripes; separating recyclables from other trash was a bit vague; the mattress is a bit bulky and unwieldy, but the photos on this website are quite honest about the layout and furnishings, so no complaints.

A comfortable and secure place to stay in a beautiful neighborhood
Dust under the desk and bed lamp, noisy air conditioning, and shower with low water pressure

Cozy home in a great neighborhood
The space was very cozy and homey, and it was nice to have a kitchen. I particularly enjoyed the bathtub and balcony. The location was great near parks and walking trails, and a short ride to hotspots around town. I didn't have a car but there was plenty of parking in the private lot which is convenient. I really liked having a market next door to pick up drinks and snacks until late. Credit card-friendly laundry on-site was helpful. And an assortment of things in the pantry (I added laundry detergent to the stash :) The owner was very helpful with the few questions and requests I had.
There was a slightly funky smell in the space. Also wasn't easy getting suitcases up and down the flight of stairs by myself (solo female traveler). WiFi was so-so. The space is a bit dated with little quirks - screen door off the rail, some of the stove burners didn't work - and a little cramped in the overall layout, minimal counter space in the kitchen. But overall it totally met my needs, felt like a cozy home just not fancy.

Would stay there again and the host was very accommodating.
Quiet, safe neighborhood and near Zilker Park walking trails and sculpture garden.
Wish is had been a downstairs unit, just because of the luggage.

it was a quiet, comfortable, clean property with a great market right next door. I was able to walk to Terry Blacks BBQ

Great location, very quiet. I was in Austin attending a 4 day class/workshop. It was a perfect place to spend the evening after long days of classes. I like having a kitchen to prepare my own meals. It was only 4 miles from where the classes were held.
I have zero complaints. It suited my needs perfectly.
