Beautiful facility, but I wouldn’t stay there again.

It was very nice. Libby area was great. Unfortunately we could not enjoy it. A bowling team and all the families took up the entire area from the time we got there at 330pm until about 1000pm. I understand it is a public area but the literally took up the whole area and was very loud. At one time we were walking through and they were being so rough on the pool table the ball flew off and hit my husband. No apologies they just laughed (high school kids) and said you hit that old man.

The room was very tiny with no where to put your clothes. Not much room to move for 3 people. No microwave. Luckily we were only staying one night. I was told at check-in they needed $20 deposit for something. I asked twice what it was for but could not understand what the attendant was saying. I would not book there if I had to stay longer than one night.

Sucked

We had booked the stay with booking.com with breakfast included . When we got there we were told that breakfast was not included and we would have to get with booking.com and that it is not their problem. We had to pay about 120 extra for breakfast . We pre-paid the stay with booking.com. We checked out and there was a 0 balance . After getting home we found a 1 dollar charge and a 390,05 dollar charge on outer credit credit card charged after our stay by this hotel. The one dollar charge was refunded but not the 390,05 charge has not been refunded and we have dispute this charge with the credit card company. What ever information this hotel publishes on booking.com should be honored at the hotel . Booking does not change their information. Shane on you.

It was a good stay and we enjoyed it.

We enjoyed the pool table and games in the lobby.

It was unusual to have no carpet, but helped with the wheel chair situation. It would have helped to have a little larger room for wheel chair access.

We stayed at this location twice before, we will not be returning.

The room was clean. The location is good.

The Tv did not work. Staff took an hour to fix it. AC did not work despite making the adjustments on thermostat. Day shift was attentive however night shift was not. When we arrived the Elevator would not stop on the second floor. The Issue was fixed by morning. Breakfast ran out of Bagels.

Decent but overpriced

Staff was helpful and overall our room and the lobby were clean. We used the social area in the lobby a lot. Staff helped make things fun there!

Prices were inflated because of the music festival. Past reviews said the breakfast was exceptional, but I thought it wasn't that great. We were there three days and there was little variety and the quality was average at best. Some of the bench seats in the lobby had old stains on them...kind of icky.

Not worth the money.

Below average in nearly every category.

There is nothing in your rooms. We paid $1500 for 5 nights, there’s no coffee maker, no microwave, nothing. The room was very tight, even for only 3 people. The group checking in front of us had a confirmation, but the hotel had no rooms. The staff didn’t even acknowledge we were there even though we did have a room. We had to wait for them to acknowledge us after standing there for over 20 minutes, after a 14 hour drive to Louisville. I definitely would seek alternative accommodation next time.

Good for location, but they need to maintain the rooms better.

It was close to the Louder Than Life 2025 festival. It was very clean and welcoming.

You could tell our room was not inspected for quite some time. The fridge and a/c were not working right and would make loud noises all through out the night until we had to turn them both off. The building itself is paper thin, I had to call the front desk to let them know we heard someone above us making loud noises like they were jumping off the bed and walking heavily.

An excellent choice in a fun, funky package

For me, the value of Tru was in the details beyond the baseline you would expect from a mid-range hotel, such as cleanliness, quietness, a comfortable bed, staff friendliness, etc. Thoughtful details raised the hotel's profile for me. For example, its decent gym offered a filtered-water station. The milk in the yogurt at breakfast was from pasture-raised cows. The bathroom had refillable mounted squeeze bottles of hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash -- to reduce the plastic waste of all those tiny individual bottles that hotels normally offer. Add to that things like sound-muffling pods in the lobby for those who want to read, study, or work on a laptop, plus foosball and pool tables and fun and clever signage, and you have a hotel that is as thoughtful and playful as it is clean and comfy.

Only one thing bothered me, and that was the logos on the home screen of the room TV that seemed to imply you could get Netflix or Peloton programming in your room. But it seemed that this was only if you already had a personal account and your password. The hotel was not offering the programming for free -- unless I misunderstood the setup. It was providing just the easier, clickable entry to your personal accounts. That set up an expectation that was disappointing, as I have neither Netflix nor Peloton accounts but would have liked to try both during my stay.

The front desk lady was GREAT!!

The free breakfast offered a good selection. The front desk was very friendly and offered a perfect suggestion for dining.

The sausage gravy was cold and we had to heat it in the microwave. We left two brand new tubs of Sanders Chocolate covered caramels (one milk Chocolate and one dark chocolate), a brand new bag of Brookside chocolates, and half a bag of Hershey nuggets. When I called, I was told they didn't find them and if they had, they would've thrown them away. It was about $60 worth... I don't believe they didn't find it.

Kind of a poopy stay.

Toilet had poop in it when we got there and then I figured out why the toilet wouldn’t flush then I went to wash my hands and the soap dispenser was falling out the wall.

There were about 30 teenagers in the two rooms across the hall who were partying till after midnight and smoking weed in the hallways. The cops had to be called.

I like that the rooms do not have carpet and you can bring your pets with you.

The common areas needed to be cleaned. I wondered if they were short staffed. Also in the morning the main door would not open unless staff let someone in or out. That felt like a hazard to me. It was also inconvenient because I was trying to load the car.

Awful Internet Service

The room was clean.

The internet service was terrible, it kept disconnecting for no apparent reason. The rooms are comfortable but you can hear all the noise from the adjoining rooms; there was a guy who seemed to be playing a soccer match next door.

Great accommodations for what we were looking for in Louisville.

Loved the bed and pillows and the layout of the room. We also enjoy the squeeze bottles for soap and lotion, and the modern look of the hotel.

We miss the breakfast sandwiches that you had during the pandemic! They were a great Grab and go option when we wanted to hit the road quickly.

It was fine but I wouldn't go back.

Everything was very clean. The day staff were pleasant. The decorative style was cheerful.

The beds are hard. The night staff seemed annoyed to be there. The toilet broke in the middle of the 2nd night, which made us leave earlier than planned.

Better than expected & much better than similar priced competitors.

The convenience to the highway, restaurants, area shopping couldn’t be better. There was plenty of parking, even for a truck pulling a 20’ trailer. Location was incredibly safe. The building was very well kept up, lit nicely & not your typical boring “beige” with orange or blue hotel decor. They had comfortable seating, including egg swing chairs with cushions, a pool table & all around a more “homelike” vibe than boring mid-priced hotels of similar caliber.

The bed wasn’t the most comfy bed I’ve slept on. I also love to snuggle with blankets, and this was a typical sheet with a duvet & insert. Nothing fancy Nothing special. Simply room to improve!
