Good location, durable floors and furniture for kids, handy feet, etc, but not the most comfortable.

Finding the place was easy, parking was convenient.

I stayed in Room 106. The room appearance didn't match the official photos online. The room lacked all of the accents, pillows, etc. which made the "deluxe suite" we booked feel sparsly appointed and sort of unfinished. There were also two large squares on the walls in the kitchenette and living room areas where plumbing had obviously been accessed for previous repairs. The panels were reinstalled, but the cut lines were not fixed so they still looked bad and unfinished. Properly repairing the wall with tape and spackle would really help, or at least cover the areas with accent tables or something to hide them. A second couch or additional large chair would also help fill out the living room and make it seem less empty. The pull-out couch was helpful and the mattress and cover were clean, but there was a 8"+ wide circle of light mold on the bottom fabric of the pullout bed visible immediately upon removing the couch cushions. This wasn't an issue since it was on the bottom, but still an easy fix if they were removing the cushions regularly to clean. There was a zippered pouch with a pillow and blanket for the pullout, but no sheets. I had to go to the front desk to ask for sheets. I imagine this room is fine for summer when the whole day is spent at the beach and you are basically just sleeping here, but the room isn't very comfortable to hang out in.

The location is perfect for the event we attended. It is a beachfront property but you have to cross the street.

The staff are not too helpful. Cannot tell me information about my reservation. I reserved 2 rooms and wanted to make sure if they charged my card only. The beds are not comfortable.

Beachside location..nice to hear the sound of the waves. JD was excellent on checking us in...very helpful. Large room, clean. Dined at Sushi restaurant next door. Basic breakfast supplied.

Amazing view of the ocean great location

Outstanding location the rooms are nice and clean amazing view from room 324 really close location to an outstanding Mexican restaurant. Also, there’s a bar close by right across the street from the beach, Dana point is beautiful

The breakfast Was probably the worst thing about the place other than that no complaints when I I go on vacation, I don’t pick a hotel room for their breakfast. I love the location and the staff is outstanding.

Booked this place last minute and it really exceeded our expectations. Rooms are pretty new, had a nice view of ocean, convenient parking, really friendly staff and a few good restaurants options next door.

The daily free breakfast could have more options but for the price of the room- it was just awesome to have free breakfast and coffee/tea/water avail 24/7

We have driven by here so many times and finally got a chance to check it out. The staff was great, the rooms were nice and spacious. Most of the rooms have an ocean view, and the price was more than fair.

The only thing I think could use improvement is to have more options for breakfast.

Underwhelming, scary and run down

Room was spacious and technically clean

Our room looked run down. Marks on the walls and you could see where they did countless repairs to the walls. Did not have caffeinated coffee in room, only decaf. Bar next door with people screaming and laughing till midnight. TV in bedroom did not work. In the morning I went to lobby to look for regular coffee and nobody was at front desk. My key to the room didn’t work, and no one was at the desk so I had to sit outside from 7:20- 8am when someone would be there to open the breakfast room. I used the bathroom there in the lobby and there was no toilet paper. Went back to my room and some strange guy knocked on my door (despite my do not disturb sign) and waited outside my room for over 5 mins for me to open the door. I refused to open the door because it was not an employee and I was alone with my daughter in the room. This overnight was a present to my daughter for her graduation and I was embarrassed by our experience.

The breakfast was quite limited — there were no options like decaf coffee, and the fruit selection was very minimal. Additionally, our room was not ready upon arrival, and we had to wait an extra hour before we could check in. Overall, the experience did not meet all our expectations.

Perfect

The breakfast was OK. I don’t think there was any meat at all. Our main reason for going was to be able to walk to the beach in which we did many times my grandchildren enjoyed playing in the hot tub. We had two nice rooms together so they could go back-and-forth to each room. The balcony was lovely overlooking the beach. Both of the people who helped us at the front desk were very courteous and very, very nice people

I never did figure out how to go from the third floor down to the office on the second floor without going down into the garage and following the Office signs. But my six-year-old grandson figured it out.

Close to beach but somewhat run down

Ok so this hotel is right across from the beach. But they don't clean your room daily, you have to ask for your room to be straightened up and your garbage removed. We stayed for 6 nights and it was ok, used to better facilities.

Staff was great. Very responsive. Very kind. Continental breakfast was just enough. Room was quaint. Nice color combos. Very neat.

Room 327 had some mechanical issues and meant to describe at check out but staff was not present. (1) Patio door to balcony does not latch. For security we used a chair as a dowel. (2) The fold out couch was difficult to pull out. Side toward night stand did not come down. (3) The bathroom sink had a “sweet spot to shut off the water, not the faucet stop and the bathroom shower had low water pressure.

The continental breakfast was satisfactory, and the location was excellent.

The elevator was not always operating properly. There was a consistent small swarm of flying insects in front of the doors of three units not far from the third floor elevator. The insects did not touch us, but it was unnerving to see them every time we used the elevator. Finally, the young woman at the front desk was not properly trained in dealing with patrons. She criticized my wife for screening a call from her to my wife's cellphone. The number was obviously unfamiliar, so my wife was skeptical about the nature of the call. Her comments to my wife on our return were inappropriate.

Staff was professional and helpful, the location was perfect and close to our event, we enjoyed the breakfast there as well. The rooms had alot space almost like an apartment.

I wish the rooms were updated with more comfortable furniture, we had 3 adults one had to sleep on the sofa bed and it was so noisy, old and uncomfortable. Maybe adding a mattress topper would help, the toilet seat had paint missing and the bathroom sink was leaking couldn't close it.

Ok for the night

The location was great and within walking distance to a nice mexican restaurant.

I initially booked a room online thinking I got a great deal however when checked in, realized we were in a room near the back of the property with a view of a hill. Quite disappointing when booking an ocean side inn. I asked if there were any ocean view rooms which there were but was an upcharge, no surprise. For the complimentary breakfast, I expected at minimum, good coffee and hot oatmeal. There was no hot water for the instant oatmeal and the coffee was more water than coffee. Also, there weren't any lactose free options and alternative milk/creamer for coffee or oatmeal. So I opted to brew the in-room coffee and took the oatmeal back to the room to at least heat water in the microwave. One of the tvs was not working which wasn't a big deal. Overall, it was a decent stay but would seek other options if staying in the area again.

Love this hotel! I’ve been here twice and they never fail to deliver excellence. During my last visit DJ hooked me up with champagne to celebrate my birthday. The views at this hotel are amazing and parking is seamless. Definitely will be coming back!

The location was great, and the hotel was clean. There was a continental breakfast included that I wasn't expecting. Maybe I overlooked it in the hotel description.

In all honesty there was a HVAC unit above our room (we were on the third floor), that whenever it went on made a loud humming sound that disturbed our sleep the first night. However, the management changed our room without any hesitation and the rest of the weekend was great.

SO NOISY!!!!!Me and my family didn't not sleep till 5 in the morning! I was expecting so much better but was sadly disappointed. The people above us were so loud and all we heard were trains all night long, never again.. plus the fact that the walls are paper thin I could practically hear the people upstairs breathing!!!
