Good location, clean comfy rooms and a better than average breakfast. Fresh fruit, waffle maker, yoghurt, cereals.

We stayed out of season in December and there is a limited amount of food places open within a short walk.

Room was clean highly disappointed in staff and check in

I didn’t like that the check in staff told me he is not going to give me two queen beds. Mind you I am confused because I booked a king bed , with a patio/ and view , and he stated he is going to give me a king bed with jacuzzi. I’m very disappointed I didn’t get the room I booked . It was my anniversary , I specifically was looking toward on enjoying the patio with my husband , instead of the jacuzzi taking up the whole room , im 75 I had no use for the jacuzzi .

Location has good ocean view but train passes right in front. Street can be crossed through high bridge.

Run down, old fashioned over-priced facility. Room is fine. Bathroom is terrible. Old. No room for the toilet which is almost attached to the shower. Training noise. Street cannot be crossed.

Jacuzzi didn't get used, we where notified we could use it as we checked in, but advised against draining it for it would leak into the room beneath, so we simply opted out of potentially causing damages

Decent hotel stay for one night passing through

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Easily accessible, free parking.

You can hear every heavy footstep in room above. My shower water knob was very tricky - had to call desk to learn how to get hot water by barely turning the tap on.

Main objection is my daughter and I who have stayed in hotels, Airbnb’s worldwide had our stay ruined by bed bugs. This is a first for us. My daughter was bitten the most. I complained to the staff. We were assured we’d be given a different room if feasible. I requested room be fumigated. On our return we were told that vinegar and baking soda had been used in room?? We were there for 3 days . The bites increased and became more pronounced. We are now back home. Having read up about bed bug infestation we now need to exterminate our home and belongings! All this after spending a small fortune flying to California and everything related to traveling. The establishment should be shut down and totally exterminated so other people don’t suffer as we’ve been. Horrible experience. We are still suffering and scratching!

Just what I needed for work and rest from work. Morning routine was amplified with beach and views!

Get the ocean view! F45 1.7 miles away, 24 hr fitness about 3 miles away, marina 2 miles, and right across the street from the beach. SAFE and Quiet-occasional train runs through but property is quiet and chill. Running before sunrise felt completely safe. While in the room, I got a ton of work done and slept like a rock! Very nice and great price. Staff is friendly and welcoming! Will be back.

I’ve stayed here twice before and usually enjoy the location and how close it is to the beach. The staff is friendly, and check in is always smooth

This time around, the bathroom and sink area had a terrible sewer smell that made me feel sick. I had to bring in extra air freshener just to tolerate it—it was that bad

Could do better for the money

The location was good for what we needed. The bed was actually not bad. The office staff were very friendly. Happy to have parking.

The facility is OLD! The corners in the bathroom were rotted out or something. Gross! And this was for an "upgraded room" we were offered upon check-in. The temperature was hard to regulate in the room. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast fare, not spectacular but worked in a pinch.

Nice staff,the hotel has loud beach views that are not accessible to the beach.

The morning and evening staff were very nice. The morning front office let us check in at 10:30am since the room was clean and vacant, we were very grateful for that.

I paid for an Ocean view for my best friends birthday and all you hear is cars and an occasional train. You can’t walk to the beach due to a fence up for the train tacks, it’s a long walk to a bridge you have to climb stairs up and down to get to the beach( there are a lot of stairs). The staff is very nice and the room was clean. The bathroom seemed kind of hazardous with a water damaged ceiling and a very questionable dusty vent. If the hotel was actually walkable to the beach it wouldn’t be bad.

The room was nice. One bed was comfortable, but the mattress on the 2nd bed was extremely uncomfortable—the mattress had a deep dip in the middle. I appreciated that the sink was outside the area with the shower & toilet; however, the room with the toilet & shower was TINY—the door & floor space was only 2 feet wide. There was no place to put anything down except on the toilet & no hooks for towels. Because the space was so small, there was not enough room to dry off & dress—something to consider depending on who you are traveling with….

Best hotel on our trip

The hotel is located just across from the ocean, it is very well kept and the room we had was wonderful, clean, a very comfortable bed and we had the best sleep since we are on the road in 10 days. The lady at the check in was very friendly and helped us to park our Jeep with a roof rack on top in the garage. We had a nice breakfast and after returning to our room the key did not work anymore. The housekeeping lady noticed this and tried to help us, she called the lady from the check in and she was here to help within a minute. Wonderful staff, could not be any better.
