Nice comfortable little home to get away from the valley heat.

Good location and great views.

For a house that has an ocean view, you would think they would replace the old blowout windows with ones you can see through. Several of the primary view windows were completely obstructed.

Amazing views of the ocean, cozy, quiet, and comfortable.

It is a little dated, with some staining on the furniture and floor. The kitchen was not well cleaned before our stay. Specifically some of the dishes, utensils, and fridge were dirty.

A relaxing and great place to spend a weekend getaway!

The privacy and location of Whale Song was relaxing, peaceful, and abundant with the sounds of nature serenading you. All rooms had a great view, as well as balconies to breath in the fresh air. We appreciated bright with screens on the many windows that opened to allow the sea breezes. The kitchen was spacious, clean, and very well stocked. We did no cooking on our trip but appreciated all the kitchenware for hosting amazing family dinners in this lovely home. The woodstove allowed us to relax with the lighting off in the evening and linger a little longer.

Beds could have been more comfortable. I sleep on a temperpedic however, so my review is biased. Linens and pillows were fine! Couch was comfortable enough, but needs to be replaced as it has lived a good long life! Lighting is harsh is the living room.

Front door combination did not work on arrival. Called booking.com and got access to key in lockbox. That was not a nice welcome although the fellow at booking was fine. Love the location, views from the ocean side of the house, nearness to town, but out in the county, nearness to the lighthouse.

This is the third time I've asked for at least one grab bar in the downstairs bathtub/shower. That would make it much safer for seniors. Steps to the upstairs are probably no longer up to code--very steep and narrow.

The location was excellent. We had a wonderful time! The accomodations were good but the place needs to be updated. The kitchen was well supplied as well!

The upstairs gets rather hot, but we used the fan. It would be nice if they provided wood for the wood stove.

Our stay was nice. I cannot give it a full thumbs up because of the issues stated.

The view was spectacular. It was quiet. We loved all of the decks.

The hot tub was not cleaned properly. There was an abalone shell on the outside table filled with cigarette butts when we arrived. It doesn't appear that the outside had been cleaned before we checked in. There was also several flies in the house possibly from the house being aired out before we checked in !? Some small details that should be attended to: kitchen towels and a box of tissues.

Whale Song needs some TLC and a good cleaning!

The Whale Song house is in a nice location; excellent ocean views in every room. There are 3 spacious bedrooms and lots of deck space for outdoor fun; BBQ, hot tub and more. This home is very comfortable for parties of 4-6 people.

The house was not clean; most especially the kitchen area needs serious attention. The coffee maker had never been cleaned before; ran hot water through the machine several times and cleaned before giving up and going out for coffee. The silverware and dishes needed to be washed because the drawers and kitchen tools were all dirty. There was a pair of scissors in the drawer that were completely rusted and broken (as pictured). We didn't trust anything in there to be usable before being sanitized in the dishwasher. The windows were loaded with cobwebs and fingerprints, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the bathroom, the metal table outside was completely rusted and the breakfast bar sink upstairs was too disgusting to even think about using. We left it far more clean than we found it and that's just not fair. This house is outdated and needs a lot of TLC and cosmetic work. A once beautiful home with so much potential is just going to waste. Sadly, we will not be back for another stay.
