We all had a lovely time. The outdoor area was quiet and peaceful.

The location is great - close to beaches and town. The outside areas were comfortable and easy to access.

Some kitchen amenities could be improved. Paper towel quality was poor, and there were no wine/cocktail or appropriate water glasses.

Marvelous Mendo Getaway

Beautifully decorated home. Bathrooms were clean and well organized. Although our weather did not allow us to enjoy the outdoor spaces, in addition to the deck furniture there were numerous cool spots to sit and read.

The power went out. After the second day, the front gate wouldn't open to go out. You had to get out of the car in the rain to wiggle through the gate to enter the code from the other side of the gate. We always managed to get the gate to open but it was a pain. Also, although there was plenty of firewood, there was no kindling. We were very happy to have the wood burning stove for heat, but getting the fire started without kindling was a bit tricky.

It’s a nature lovers paradise.

It feels good to be here. The Rosen’s seem like caring, mindful and thoughtful people. It’s been a pleasure to be able to enjoy this space.

Nothing. I would only suggest that there was a prompter delivery of hot water from the kitchen faucet. I hate to waste water.

We had the most amazing week at Mendo Cupola! The location is great (5 min to the beach), the yard is FABULOUS- redwoods, dogwoods, flowers, an edible garden, with bocce and cornhole and a large deck with a comfy seating area. The hot tub is tucked away in a private garden oasis- wonderful for star gazing. The kitchen was very well equipped. There were lots of choices for sleeping areas: bedrooms, lofts, even a hammock. We couldn't be happier with our experience.

I wouldn't change anything! We really had the best time!

A piece of heaven on the already gorgeous California west coast

This place was a little bit of heaven after a couple of long travelling days. It's so well appointed that if there had been an 11 (or 20) out of 10 possible I would have chosen it. The place is so lovely and unique with gorgeous gardens, sitting areas, a hot tub and an even a workout room. It's a quick trip to the estuary ( we had dogs that LOVED the beach and the walk to the Quarry) and to the quaint little town for a fab meal at the local pub , or for some sweet treats at the bakery. They truly have thought of everything. I'd come back for sure!

It was fun and relaxing!

I liked that it had everything you could want or need, bbq, hot tub, porch, outside furniture, large grass area for games, dog friendly and a beautiful view of nature.

The shape of the house was a bit odd. Made you feel a bit dizzy at first. Advertising of the home made it look like there was more space in bedrooms.
